SpringTrap was originally a guy named William Afton, AKA "Purple Guy", creator of the animatronics, got stuck in a Springlock suit, becoming SpringTrap. SpringTrap first appeared. Apparently he is cursed to not die. So I don't know if this game is the last we'll see of Springtrap.
