  1. Surely this will end the debate within our loving community! ^________^

On the real though, I enjoyed making this video a lot. Hope you guys enjoy it too. More Monhun vids are on the way!

  2. I’ve been a player since Freedom Unite and I swear I’ve seen Deviljho eat its own tail whether in Tri or Portable 3rd! But it’s nice to know it must’ve been a happy accident and I was just misremembering all this time. Thanks for the hard work on this fantastic video!

  3. Ima go ahead and solve this for you but i solo'd mh3u as it was my first Game and in the quest wear he jumps down to attack the great jaggi i cut his tail and indeed proceeded to eat it. The only reason i knew this "rumor" was because i witnessed it. However maybe ill go back and try and recreate it Because i think there is a carcass in that area(deserted island area 7 i think it is,the lil jaggi den) but regardlessuntil i recreate that scene im a firm believer and witness of it consuming its own tail. No one can convince me otherwise. You can also consider maybe it does it on that specific quest since hes introduced there.

  4. I think it's possible that Capcom of America made a translation error and figured it checked out, and even announced it as official information. The only way to 100% difinitively put this myth to rest might be data mining.

  5. I played a lotbof the japanese only portable 3rd, since I had a hacked psp and was following the translation patch project VERY closely.
Deviljho NEVER eats it's tail. I played hundreds of hours of Portable 3rd, it simply never happened.

  6. The thing is that back when I heard this jho eating it's own tail, i just like to put meat on its tail just to recreate the moment bcs it is TRUE that I never ever find a single proof of it 🤣

  7. I vividly remember playing 3U back in the day in one of my long night sessions. I was hunting a Jho and cut his tail, but I didn't want to cart so I kept hunting until he went to another zone, but then, the asshole went and ate his own tail, funny thing is that the the tail actually disappeared and couldn't carve it anymore, I was pissed because I was (and still am) bad at the game and getting a tail was big for me. I don't need people to believe me but I saw it once or twice in like 1k+ hours.

  8. Here's to hope it's stop the madness but about the deviljho eating it's tail I saw an example awhile back it was a double jho event quest I think in 3 or 4 ult with one jho eating the other one tail idk if any meat was involved but if that one happened to be caused by meat It would set my mind at ease

  9. Honestly the fact that jho will eat another dead jho mean the decade question of the tail is true just in a lore perspective but after seeing the video all the way I don't think it will ever happen gameplay wise for awhile

  10. The Mandala Effect. In all seriousness, you need to find an expert MH game ripper which then can research and dig into all of jho's movement animation and values to confirm whether or not jho had an exclusive feature like that. The alternative way is to find the guy who worked on jho and ask if did he or did he Not add something for jho to eat his tail.

  11. I dont remember it clearly but I think in World I had a Jho eat his tail. If I had the video plus saved data (lost it die to a part of my PS4 going bad) I could of had proof of it. I dont even use the meat to hunt Deviljho which means he'd have to transition to a different part of the map, eat a corpse, pin and try to eat me, or eat the tail that's in the same local as him.

  12. .-. Probably going to get hate for this comment, but…. I've seen Jho eat his own tail. Long before Capcom made that video, base TRI. My husband, roommate and I were playing together trying to hunt and it was in the tundra. Husband cut off his tail. I remember he wasn't the main monster, we just got fed up with Jho and decided to beat him up a bit for extra rewards. At some point, he turned around and started eating the tail. All three of us sitting in the same room with our consoles were yelling about WTF, is he really eating HIMSELF?! We didn't have meat down – he wasn't the target monster, so we didn't bring meat. The target monster had already fled to a new area. None of us were pinned, no tom foolery. We've not seen him eat his tail outside of base TRI (mainly because we actually became "good" hunters and started to abuse things like trap-chaining, using my bow/BG to status with shots + having them carry extra ammo 'cause he has entirely too much HP). I'll gladly die on this hill for something I've personally seen. I didn't even know wikis had that info – the first time I'd ever seen it referenced was when I found NCHProductions and thought, "omg someone else has seen this."

  13. Random question but; I recall seeing Deviljho eating his tail IN WORLD/ICEBORNE rather than the old games, could it be that they actually made that into an actual feature after Generations Ultimate?

  14. At this point its seems easier to just reverse engineer the whole game for the definite proof. I have 1000 hours into the MHW and i have no memory of Jho ever touching his tail.

  15. I could swear I've seen him eating his own tail myself once. So my guess is that it's either a really, really rare thing to happen (sort of like how the food skill weakener supposedly can make a monster spawn with only one HP) or it was just some sort of fever dream.

  16. This absolutely messes with my head because I'm part of the group who SWEARS I've seen it. It stood out to me because after all that time I had finally seen it, and especially because I'm a greedy fuck, and I remember going up to the tail and not being able to carve it after he ate it. I don't know, maybe I'm not remembering something right.
