  1. Very exciting to now know for sure more demos are coming, hopefully we get another full beta test, the big question is do you want the same one but with the balance changes & optimisation or get Arkveld as is tradition?

  2. as an IG main since it came out I gotta say we need full combo on red again, and fixed control schemes. Maybe a little faster attacks and infini combo back to how it was. Infini combo chained into so many things it left a ton of options in the moment. Backflip out of attack into a forward slash that did massive damage was fun to do. Infini combo isn't even the highest dps, its just utility and great for sniping parts and quick pokes. Charging using the same button most of your combos come from now is absurd and makes you dead weight until you can unleash the dance, and even then the dance needs a large opening AND leaves you vulnerable. Fix that charge! fix the weirdness of focus mode and kinsect, give us combos on red. Some of those aren't drastic changes, I don't even care about aerial bouncing that I only used for repositioning and slapping flyers out of the air.

    red charge does exta damage on normal attacks

    Recall kinsect from Rise to return as a perfect evade.

    Better button mapping

    RSS guarantees we get red at the end so we can descending thrust afterwards whenever we want

  4. Do we still ignore that weapons can have bad and good match ups? Like some monsters are easier with some weapons. That will always be like that and to judge based on an open beta with no were near final numbers on which weapon needs buffs and to assert weapons need new moves because you could fight a single monster that they probably aren't great for while not having any knowledge of the rest of the game and its monsters is idk man.

  5. Hello. I love Lance the way Josh loves Greatsword.
    Iv always had an idea for a new weapon, or an idea that could be implemented into the Lance's arsenal.
    A shield that absorbs energy as you block, to then dish it out in a single burst. Not quite as flashy as Gun Lance, not quite as technical as Charge Blade, but all of the existing nature and identity of the Lance with a heightened power fantasy and a new competitive damage source.

  6. As a lance main, of course I'd love some buffs to damage, but I think there are better ways to do this. The lance is firstly a DEFENSIVE weapon, where you should be taking less damage than any other weapon, so the hunts will ttake longer to complete but you'll be less reliant on keeping your health up if played correctly.

  7. i doubt we'll get bounce for glaive back i've already coped too hard and realistically if it's implemented the same way as wilds/rise there would be no reason to use the trash ground moves instead of just bouncing around for easy rss positioning

Whenever people talk about weapon balancing I feel the need to mention that a lot of the worse performing weapons (not all) were only doing so because they are weapons that in past games have very heavily utilized elemental damage or specific versions of the weapon (lbg/hbg) to reach optimal performance which was lacking in the beta.

  9. They need to give this demo to us in the form of another open beta. Huge fan of the series and Wilds looked great but performance took me from "I am getting g this day 1" too "If it's performance is the same I'm not touching the next one" but I guess after complaining I was in the minority as simps just kept on playing and we all will be getting a shittier version because casuals don't care enough to know when they are being farmed.

  10. As a GS main, I’m disappointed how they changed it’s identity. They turned GS from high risk high reward, to low risk low reward. I don't like how they dumbed it down. GS was always about monster knowledge, positioning and commitment. Now that's out of the window, since one can 360 degree readjust anytime, making big hits less rewarding. I also dislike the offset move. It leads to mindlessly spamming it for the topple animation due big dmg. The lack of hitstop & blood makes hits less satisfying.

  11. The balance changed are pretty worthless. You played nothing but a old demo and some speed runners do what less than 1% of players will be doing, making you say weapons should be changed completely based off that…

  12. We need another global demo release, like the other MH games like Rise. The first build on the beta was very rough. I pretty sure there is a lot of people waiting for new demos to performance check before a final decision wether buy it or not.

  13. I have a question, is there anyone who used s&s and got all the damage ticks of the focus strike deal over 300 damage? I don't know if it was a bug or something but sone times It dealt 50-60 damage and other times It dealt closes to 1000 damage
