  1. I know this comment will probably not be noticed, but I figured I'd write it anyways since the timing for your playthrough could not have been more perfect. Recently I've been very sick with the flu and I wasn't getting better. I had high fevers every night and I got chills and congestion every time I would try to sleep, so life was pretty miserable. The main issue was, I wasn't motivated to hydrate or eat or even get out of bed (besides going to urgent care) because I assumed it would be far worse than if I stayed in bed. Then I started watching this, and of course that "Death can have me when it's earned me" line really hit hard. I wasn't anywhere close to death, but it definitely did the trick for fixing my mental state. I'm still sick and the flu still sucks, but I'm getting better now that I pretend I'm Kratos. I enjoyed your playthrough especially because you didn't try to make everything a joke, and actually let the dramatic storytelling run its course rather than talking over it 24/7 like other streamers. And yes, I know this is a bit childish, but the story in general really did motivate me to start trying to eat and drink again, despite not having an appetite at all.
    Keep up the great work!

  2. One thing I had to nitpick was how many new characters they cramped in the story, and somehow kratos was immediately trusting and accepting of them. Judging by how he distrusted gods, I find it weird how he had trust issues with Freya but not "Tyr". He gave brok and sindri massive cold shoulders in the 2018 game, but in this game kratos was opening up and talking to all the new characters immediately, like lunda or angyboda. Considering how protective he is with atreus. He was pissed when he found out sindri and atreus went out on adventures, but somehow he was cool with thrud, daughter of Thor, as his friend? Huh? Whatever happened to his hate and distrust of gods?

Also wtf happened to sif towards the end? One moment she's telling thor to kill atreus, next we find her siding with atreus when thrud wanted to kill him? Huh?

Nitpick kills the fun, I know. But the ending just feels like it fell a little short

  3. I love the old God of War. Platinumed 2,3,GoS,CoO. Beat all the other games. Then GoW 2018… I didn't even bother to beat it. DUDE SOULS LMAO. I didn't like the game at all, which sucks because I love that they are doing the Norse Mythology which I love. I hate the fucking gameplay. Not fun at all. The Greek Mythology God of War games were so much more fun. God of War 3 is one of my favourite games ever. I'm tired of this souls fad. I'm not even going to bother with the new game until it's free.

  4. I think it's one of the few – maybe the only – games where you explore and whenever someone is starting to say something, you actually want to listen.
That right there is what games were made for!

  5. The only thing I have an issue with this game is the cosmetic choices in armour upgrades I feel a lot of it is just the same Aron or just a different colour which is disappointing. And the odd little glitch here and there which they can fix with updates. And even potentially add more cosmetic options for the game as well with dlc if it comes. Story is wicked thoo 🔥👌

  6. my literal only complaint is for me the finale fell a little short. the entire war just didn't hit the spectacle I wanted it to. Thor's battle was underwhelming too. Odin's I can understand since he's more a schemer than fighter. the very ending was just chef's kiss

  7. This game is beautiful. Breathtaking. Completely blows the competition out of the water. Very few games have this level of detail and quality all together. Never a dull moment. I didn’t even think they could have done better than 2018 but I was gladly proven wrong. Great game.

  8. I’m glad you pointed to the freezing of the geyser puzzle that pissed you off. That’s the one that actually made me say “Artreus, shut the fuck up” which woke up my wife.

  9. I actually have a controversial opinion, I think this game was okay at best. God of war 2018 (2 is best) was way better. The bosses at the end were a bit of a let down. The story was good though

  10. I just beat the game and I have to say two things. One, this game is possibly my favorite game ever and is just the most beautiful game I have ever played. And two the character development and how the characters show so much emotion is kind of insane. I would never expect this kind of greatness when buying any game and I probably won’t see this much greatness for a long long time.

  11. It completely and utterly enflames my souls that this game didn’t beat Elden Ring. It’s better in every single possible aspect. I don’t care what anyone has to say about Elden Ring being good.

  12. The fact that we got Elden Ring and GOW Ragnarok so close together is astonishing. Two phenomenal games that are actually fully finished on release and not being updated to add the "features" in over time. Makes me think of the good old days of gaming where you could expect a finished game on release, props to FromSoftware and Sony Santa Monica, actually props to most of the Sony exclusive developers for giving us good, fully finished games on release

  13. Gotta disagree with you on the berserk fights, although I am on give me no mercy. I found that if you go into the berserk fights highly aggressive instead of waiting for openings, and rely on parries and dodging while putting constant aggression, the fights are insanely entertaining, and also are the best way to fight them, especially since you can interrupt some of their attacks either with runes or mid attack

  14. Honestly the only issue I have with this Ragnarok is the pacing of the side quests but not really that big of a deal for the game as a whole the more I think about it. There are times in the game where it felt like I was running around for too long already. I played in the highest difficulty as well so it's expected that I would go through most of these side quests for the items and stats. Also with how good these side quests are, you really just don't want to miss them. Would love to replay this in the future just going through the main story so I could really immerse myself.

  15. More like a interactive movie that needs to tell you ever going on because the player is stupid. I hate the boss checkpoints too and the constant funneling into one area after another
