Mike Tirico, Jamaal Williams preview Lions on Sunday Night Football | Twentyman in the Huddle Ep. 33

On this year’s final regular season-episode of Twentyman in the Huddle presented by Microsoft, Tim Twentyman has a jam-packed show to get you ready for Week 18’s Sunday Night Football matchup at Lambeau Field between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. As always, Tim starts with news and notes from Allen Park, including a look at the Lions’ playoff chances and the injury report with a positive update on DeShon Elliott’s prognosis. Next, the voice of Sunday Night Football, Mike Tirico, joins Tim in-studio to discuss the Lions’ first primetime game of the 2022 season and how the NBC crew prepares for a playoff game such as this one. After that, Mike Spofford of Packers.com calls in to break down Green Bay’s four-game winning streak and what the Lions can expect from wide receiver Christian Watson on Sunday. Lions running back Jamaal Williams then stops by to recap his stellar season and how the Lions stayed the course through adversity to get to a must-win game in Week 18. 1. This, by far, would be more than what the Eagles had. This would be putting a nail in the coffin of 60+ years of ineptitude. Bobby Lane couldn't imagine a dynasty that is going to happen to this city, in this State. It will supersede what his teams accomplished. Yes, it sucked in the desert but paradise is close. It would take a former Lion who understands us. It would take elite former players turned coaches who believed. It would take a Parcels and Payton tree built of nails. This is really happening. You are witnessing something VERY SPECIAL in the annals of sports history. Even if we don't win this Packers game (we're in year 2 of a rebuild) our future is incredible! SOL fans can F-off. Traitors.

  2. I like Justin Rogers. I think he's a better beat writer than Birkett. Birkett sucks up to Sheila too much and let's his own personal bias creep into his coverage. And as far as the nuts and bolts of the game is concerned, his analysis isn't on the same level as Justin's. He's probably the best beat writer of any sport right now for this market. That's my take on it anyway.

  3. THIS GAME IS ON THE DEFENSE..ESPECIALLY RUN DEFENSE…AND GOFFS ABILITY NOT TO PLAY HORRIBLY IN THE COLD…LIONS BETTER SLOW DOWN PACKERS RUN GAME WITH BIG OL DILLON ..HE IS A LOAD👏👏THEN AARON JONES BEING QUICK AND SHIFTY…IF LIONS D LINE GET GASHED PACKERS RUNNING IT DOWN LIONS THROAT ALL NIGHT..IT GETS HARDER AND HARDER IN THE COLD LATER IN THE GAME TO TAKE DOWN DILLON..SO YOU BETTER SLOW HIM EARLY ON….AND NEED TO GET TO RODGERS.

  4. The reason for the Packer's slow start was due to Aaron Rodger's decision to sit out the entire preseason when he has 4 brand new WR on the team. Aaron should have been playing the first half only of every preseason game to get acquainted with his new WRs and build rapport with them.

  5. I'm a Packers fan and the algorithm threw this at me. I'd never heard of Tim Twentyman. I must say, he's thoughtful, well spoken and has great dialogue with his guests. Well done Detroit.
