  4. The difference between this song and Dear John really shows her maturity as a person, and how time and reflection is really necessary to understand how certain relationships really hurt you. When she wrote Dear John, it sounds like she was hurt the relationship was over and she was angry and wanted to lash out at him and shame him. But in WCS, it's more like she finally understood how messed up him being 32 dating her as a 19yo really was. How much she regrets how intimate they seem to have been. And how he should've been more responsible towards her. Young women can have crushes and even pursue older men, but the older men should have known better and not reciprocated.
