MIDDLE AGED Metal Fan REACTS to Greta Van Fleet – Highway Tune

In this next episode of MIDDLE AGED Metal Fan REACTS, shotgunn comes back to Greta Van Fleet. This time he promises NOT to say how much he thinks they sound like Led Zeppelin.

This song really rawks!! I dug TF outta it. Had to bite my tongue a few times. Stunningly retro sounds. Sounds like it’s legitimately from the 70’s. Very refreshing.

  1. This is a song they wrote when they were still in school so it is rather simple lyrically. But it’s a jam and makes me smile. I like the staccato vocal technique and the guitar work.

  3. This is the one song that screams Led Zepplin, they were in high school. I think it says a lot about their talent when 4 teenagers can sound like this. As you listen to more GVF you'll hear other influences esp Rush and Yes. I think Josh has the ability to mimic, and mimic well.

  4. I feel that you are trying to give a fair opinion so that is cool, however, I notice most people who are not familiar with GVF music seem to get the poorest selections to react to. Highway Tune live in Toronto 2018 is a much better show of their talent or anything from the Red Rocks concert. They are superb live. Yeah the song was written when Sam was 13 and the twins were 16. Thank you for having a non sarcastic opinion of them.

  5. The first song of theirs I heard. It was on the radio and I literally thought it was a new Zeppelin but you know it wasn’t Zeppelin. So I looked up them up and started listening to their stuff and became a fan.
