Mica Miller | Pastor's Wife's Death Ruled as Self-Inflicted

30 year old Mica Acacia Miller’s death has been ruled as self-inflicted (su*c*de). Sending condolences to Mica’s family and friends. Will they sue her estranged husband for wrongful death?

Case background: The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina was investigating the death of 30-year-old Mica Miller after her husband’s bizarre announcement of her death to his congregation at the end of a Sunday church service. She was discovered on April 27th, 2024 more than an hour away from her hometown with a fatal gunshot wound. Apparently, Mica sued JP for divorce two weeks ago and he was served with papers just 48 hours before she died.

He said: “I got a call late last night my wife has passed away. Yeah. It was self-induced and it was up in North Carolina and, um, we’re going to have a funeral for her next Sunday here at 3:00 p.m. Ya’ll knew that she wasn’t well mentally, and that she needed her medicine that was hard to get to her. I’m sure there’ll be more details to come.” He has scheduled a celebration of life ceremony for her on May 5th, 2024 at the Solid Rock Church.

If you have any information to share with the police, please contact the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at 910-671-3100.

  1. He didn't pull the trigger but years of abuse put the gun in her hands. As a DV survivor and suicide attempt survivor I know the dark, hopeless place. I can't imagine her heartbreak and pain but I know my own. And I just wanted the pain to end, I pray for comfort for this beautiful soul and her family.

  2. Even if it’s self-inflicted, I 100% guarantee he had something to do with it as in he pushed her to suicide and I know for a personal experience. They will definitely pull the mental health card, even if it’s technically true, but not in the part where they induced the mental health issues and made it significantly worse.

  3. 7:36 7:41 Even if she did it herself, I know intense spiritual and mental and emotional abuse can cause a cracked in her faith at the moment..because my husband has been abusing me in this way for years and there were times I felt worthless , depress ect…Surely that man is responsible!!! I can hear and see ….that man is reversing everything and playing victim and innocence!!! It's clearly seen

  4. Tonight I heard that 911 call that she made and the video of her buying the gun. I can now say that I believe she may have done this, but not without being pushed to that point by him. Great reporting love your channel. May you be at peace with God now, Mica.

  5. What … if … the guy stalking her : kept stalking her and used the firearm she just got on herself… but that’s nuts . Can’t prove it and it’s wild to even speculate and basically a waste of time. Sorry but had a thought

  6. Gisela, you're so sweet & thoughtful about our victims and towards us. This case does make me very sad. Lots of similar history – but thankfully, a small triumph here & there…💜🥰

  7. This hits home hard. It's a tough case as we've all experienced victimhood to dv whether personally or close relationships to the victims. In saying this, keep a close eye on tightening of gun laws in the US from here. A lot of spotlight on this case. Same as the Port Arthur massacre in Australia. So many hurt. Then, an unarmed populace.

  8. It’s really sad when it comes to ending it instead of really getting away from the thing or the person that’s causing the pain. Somehow, she should’ve found a way to really just leave. Very sad.

  9. She was WAY too calm on that 911 call. You don't calmly call 911 right before you kill yourself & then quietly hang up. No way. None of this makes any sense. The guy Johnnie…his writings have red flags. I have so many questions. My list is long.

  10. Isn’t there precedent for a wrongful death lawsuit? I’m thinking of Conrad Roy III whose girlfriend kept pushing him to unalive himself through constant text messages. I think a case can be made.

  11. Even if she did take her own life..he should be held accountable for his actions that lead her to do this. I’m not in the USA but I am a psych nurse who works in a high risk hospital ward and it is not uncommon to have people admitted who are severely depressed due to the actions of others like her husbands. The only difference is that if she was in my country she would find it nearly impossible to get a gun to harm herself

Also Why has he not faced charges related to child grooming from when the victim was younger..
also I’m not sure whose gun it was but if she has a history of mental health issues like the family have said it still shocks me that she had access to a gun..if she did end her own life this could have been prevented if she was placed in hospital, given access to quality treatment and banned from having access to guns…

  12. Now having heard her 9-1-1 call and the other information from people in the park (Sheriff's office report that a man heard a woman crying then the gunshot), it is sadly a suicide. The call is clearly making sure her body can be found. She sounds defeated, but certain of what she is doing. Her husband had a clear alibi.

I thought he was guilty too, but ACTING suspicious and BEING a horrible person doesn't make one guilty of a crime.
