  1. I have a recommendation for the next community race: Smeargle.

Given that it can Sketch pretty much any move, I imagine it would be very interesting to see the ideas people come up with to get through the game. Most Pokemon have a best way they can get through and that's it… but Smeargle makes the player decide.

  2. Your vids are always the highlight of my week! Congrats on 50k and here's to the next milestone ^^

Edit: It's not necessarily a romhack, but there's Pokemon: This Gym of MIne, a fangame where you run your own gym, restricting you to a single type (mostly). It's a chance to be a better Bug leader than Bugsy, right? (and my name being Rusty, I get to be a punny Steel gym leader)

  3. It's kinda funny, you were talking about your favourite music track in Pokémon over my favourite track, which is Gen III's arrangement of S.S. Anne. As a kid, I used to basically be always playing Pokémon Ruby, and I used to spend so much time in the Oceanic Museum in Slateport just listening to the S.S. Anne arrangement that plays there.

  4. 15:43 is the stuff I am here for. These little moments make your content unique and fun to watch (and then of course rewatch while doing something else just for the soothing background noise :D) Keep up the good work, congratz to 50k.

  5. Confirming that the trainer Pokémon in Japanese have different natures than English. This makes speedruns of the game a lot more difficult in certain situations (for example the Jynx on Lorelei is too fast to outspeed naturally so there is an X-Speed used on that fight).

  6. While you don't plan on doing a side-game, Pokémon Colosseum would be awesome. "Can you beat Pokémon Colosseum with only Plusle and Minun?" or something like that would really pique my interest, personally.

  7. All hail the dome fossil!

That being said Scott… I normally don't watch videos like this. I love your content. I'm super stoked about you releasing any video.

Had to go back and watch every video you have released. I'm gonna keep worshiping the dome fossil.

Looking forward to future content. I work usually 12-17 hour days. Coming back and knowing that I have one of your videos to watch keeps me motivated.

    Keep it up!

    Love your content!

  8. One question I like and I'll ask all you fine people. If you were a gym leader what generation would you be in, what type would you want to have and what would your team be.

Mine would be normal in gen 4. 3rd or fourth gym.

Team Munchlax, Staravia Raticate (my personal favorite pokemon), and Ambipom would be my ace.

  9. One of my personal beliefs about Mew is that if ever a move was a TM and ceases to be a TM in the next generation, it should become part of Mew's level-up or move tutor learnset to keep it consistently in Mew's repertoir. Doesn't matter that Pay Day both sucks and is otherwise the signature move of the Meowth line, Mew should always have access to it because it was a TM in gen 1 and thus Mew could be taught it back then!

  10. I´m really surprised that your Porygon video did poorly compared to others.
It´s one of my favorites and I like this race format very much.
Would love to see more of it.

  11. Fun fact: 'Tackle', in these here quaint old isles of Britannia, is another word for… Well, let me put it this way. When you say things like 'But my tackle wasn't very impressive', or 'My tackle managed to absolutely destroy him', it does the funny.

  12. Seeing Mew reset to the first gym brings up an interesting question: if you could build a perfect stat pokemon (700+ stat total distributed how you want) that can only learn one or two moves, would it beat the game faster or slower than a 100 base stat pokemon with any moves you want? I know that would require modding…but the question itself would really get at the heart of 'the moves make the mon' discussion cough cough, double team and hidden power

  13. Proud to be in the credits as a Steelix! I choose Aron but I'm not fussed it's more about supporting you. Glad to see you at 50k and excited to see the 100k q&a special! Well done Scott 🙂

  14. Electric gets walled because they have the only relevant 0x offense type and electric is so strong outside of that one case that they don't have good coverage to compensate. Surfing Pikachu still struggles because Pikachu is a non-fully evolve pokemon that has stats to show. Surfing Raichu or Alolan Raichu would crush the game….probably. Earthquake is still the best offensive move in the game and it's also their one weakness, so…..

  15. For a brief moment I had a theory on why Gary/Blue was named Terry in the code…in the show Parks and Rec one of the running gags is that one of the characters keeps getting his name around the office changed by his coworkers. Gary, Terry, Larry, Jerry so I thought this could’ve been a case of one of the developers having some fun. Then I realized that FireRed predates Parks and Rec by a number of years. Oh we’ll 😂😂😂

  16. 15:13 omg please never play sun and moon on the channel lmao I cannot stand how slow those games are. 9999 cutscenes, 99999 lines of dialogue. Z move animations that take 30 seconds. Literally the only generation I cant bring myself to play through again

  17. oh dude it's pretty cool to hear you're looking to do more nuzlockes in gen 1/2. I'm more interested in gen 2 than 1 but it's nice to hear that you're looking to make more videos in the older games. not a lot of people doing stuff in gen 2.
