  1. I won't deny that I was curious about this when I first saw it on the eShop. The screenshots didn't look too bad (and I thought if the gameplay was good, maybe the visuals wouldn't matter too much) and it seemed to have an interesting premise. It's a massive shame that it's let down by so many issues like the long loading times, bad gameplay, poor performance, and that terrible audio, and that no care was put into its creation from the sounds of it. Even if it is a let down, I appreciate that you took one for the team and tried it out for us. Thanks for the review.

  2. I played this game back in the day when it was released on Steam, since I wanted to play something like TBOI without a crying child.
And my god… was it boring.
I let many things slide when it comes to roguelikes, but that was just so boring and uninteresting that I had to refund it.

  3. Hi, Ole Gamer Joe. Maybe this should have been rather published as comic or music album – with a game as extra?! The game iteself does remind me of the old Amiga title "The Chaos Engine".

  4. Very good review. But maybe they've patched it since you last played it? The music, janky controls, and loading times are much better.

This game is basically a poor man's Binding of Isaac. It is hard to see your characters if you're playing in handheld mode. It's definitely easier than Binding/Gungeon and other roguelikes. But those games are more fun. If Gungeon and Binding and Hades are 10/10 games. This one is about a 5.6/10.

*Weirdly it kinda reminds me of the old arcade game Berzerk. Obviously not as hard.
