Mellon Corp = M (usk) Ellon lol
I wonder if a combination of Darkest Dungeon, XCOM, Frostpunk game would come out for the masochist.
This game looks promising
chaosgate is so good
Hey hey Matt how you dooooing brah! You good bro
were you not able to tell that the black/grey boxes mean they're overwatching?
gameplay look alot similar to XCOM seri, so i hope things you can do between mission is what will make it unique
Melon Usk
Looks like a solid little number. Thank you for the effort dev and thanks for putting it on my radar.
I wonder if Melon Corp is a nod to Cabbage Crop
Definitely keeping an eye on this
Didn't think I'd be interested in a game like this, but weirdly, I am!
If you have good cover yet you cannot push for an attack, end your turn and let the enemy come to you. They waste their ap and turn chasing you.
hell yah comrade
Looks VERY ambitious in it's game mechanics. Especially for a small team/single dev.
It will either be great or a crash but worth keeping an eye on.
5:02 if you don't go wide on them then they go wide on you and you get flanked, its tactics 101 and they have the high ground and are the defenders giving them that advantage, you have the numerical advantage allowing you to keep them supressed while also flanking them.
Karolina Vesela
Id love to see cover penetration/degradation be based off of caliber, barrel length, and distance to target
Give it a us v ussr feel, era "cold war". M16 in 5.56 holds more rounds, flatter trajectory at distance, and the manufacturing standards, and tight tolerances of the weapons, made them more accurate, while also more unreliable in field conditions, and requiring more maintenance. The 7.62×38, which the Kalashnikov launches, smacks like a mule, allowed full auto on standard models, do to a difference in thinking on accuracy vs rnds dwn rng, and would operate fairly reliably even when plucked from wet mud, or sand. The looser design of the weapons platform allows for a sort of "self cleaning" where the propellant shakes, and shocks, away interrupting particles.
Something about this is so fallout 1@2! I would love the main game being developed, but, even more, I'd love a rpg like those, same world, same engine, as a side project. Fallout, or this old flash called "caravaneers" or something, which was like fallout one, if you were just trying to keep a camel alive to hump water to the next trade hub. Little flash game was brilliant, and i think its a sleeper of influence, much like cthulu, in the games of this age
Sir! What Mars Tactics shall we employ in our Mars Attacks!?
maybe you go to cydonia like in xcom at the end 👽👽👽
Splat please give Edengrall a chance
Oh holy shit it literally is labor vs capital. LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION COMRADE
🖤
This looks fantastic.
The character portraits look like old school Tecmo Superbowl portraits. I dig it.
Kudos to the dev, looks pretty interesting, deffo gonna try once its out!
Watching this just whet my appetite to reinstall xcom again. Why do I keep going back for more pain and heartbreak? It's bewildering
I was extremely excited from the thumbnail. This looked a bit generic though.
I love tactical games. It’s usually my favorite genre.
In both tactical rpgs and these xcom style games, one thing that can be annoying is when every single map is a giant distance. Spending multiple turns max sprinting to find an enemy in range can get boring and then there’s usually some cheese penalty for doing that. Like an ambush. There’s also sometimes penalty for not doing that if turns are limited.
Reminds me of the x-com trilogy that started after the apocalypse game
Looks like it has potential; like the look and gameplay I saw. It'll depend on how the other elements of the game fit together.
cool! looks nice!
God bless Julian Gollop.
Is it just me or is thag globe rotating? 0:23
When I saw the video thumbnail, I thought this was some sort of remake of UFO: Enemy Unknown.
This looks like great fun
Have I ever mentioned how much I love your commentary SCG? You are awesome.
This is one of the more promising games i have beheld. Hope to see it come to fruition.
Humm.. Musk, Elon. M. Elon… Mellon Corp, I see what they did there.
2:15 Charge your phone, my guy
It looks like some elements out of really old-school X-Com is in there. The inventory, the base-building, the struggle across a strategic map and how you must loot your opponents for gear.
Imagine doing a soft ball throw with your gun as your last defiant move lol
Games luks super interesting.
It would be extra cool if the names were based on the country of origin. Miron Karpin is not an Estonian name. Would be better to go with something like Uku Mägi, Anu Õun ect. 😀 (You know… all of the cool weid names) 😛
Looking forward to this one.
