Wow Trev , I just went up to River Kwai Bridge and Hell Fire Pass 10 days ago . Fantastic trip , the main cemetery near the bridge is something everyone should be proud of . Thai ladies keep it immaculate . Puts shivers down your spine . I was reading some graves young guys died on Christmas Day , so sad . We stayed to night at the Float House Resort , beautiful place on the river , you would love it if you want to lash out . Back in 2 weeks . Cheers Brent , Perth AU
People can moan about Britain, but the currency is still one of the strongest in the world. This helps massively when it comes to holidaying in Asia/SE Asia. We need to be grateful we have a strong currency.

Being a 1000cc rider I think you need experience to enjoy those roadways.
There are two different places where ferries Dock on Koh Larn. There are about 7 or 8 different beaches to explore.
Also loads of hotels, so stay for a night. No rush to get back to Pattaya.
Believes or knott the best think about Pattaya, the price's!

I went on a River Kwai tour last November, out of Bangkok. Was really interesting. The only issue was the amount of driving. Was a one day trip, 12 hours door to door, and 7 of those were spent driving.
That is a Bu**er Arriving in Pattaya on the 10th would have done that tour. GRRRRRRRRRRR always miss out, Any hows any updates on the water fun year >?

Done Kanchanaburi twice walked hellfires pass and walk the bridge well worth the trip to see what all those prisoners went through

At 46 baht to the GB pound I still feel like im being short changed, as i recall it being 72 to the GB£ on my 1st trip 16+ years ago, although I was happy when it remained at 55 ish for a few years. Samae beach is also only a 40+ mins walk from the pier of Tawean and worth every drop of sweat for a far nicer stretch of sand and far cleaner water. Went to Kanchanaburi about 8 years ago. I think my luxury coach with a huge recline on them allowing for a reasonable snooze was about 500 baht return and my accommodation was very near the river, very basic, but only 250 baht per night. This included the gathering of scorpions outside the door of an evening. So tread carefully 🤣
