Why the hell would a kingdom with a king have an election? In any Kingdom it would have to be starting by bloodline then deciding whether or not that particular type of Kingdom allows for just men just women either to rule then there's an issue of who is the first born as well as who is most suitable the current ruler often decides this but there are also traditions and of course nobles can support one sibling over another for the next leader but an election held by the people would not exist
