MANOR LORDS | EP06 – NO PAIN NO GRAIN (Early Access Let's Play – Medieval City Builder)

Manor Lords has been my most anticipated city builder since I first stumbled across it in 2020 – the medieval city builder with RTS combat elements, and an economic system that integrates the two closely… what more could I ask for? This series will showcase Manor Lords gameplay while highlighting how to play Manor Lords, providing explanations for various mechanics and gameplay systems. If you like city builders, if you like medieval settings, and if you like tactical battles, I think you might like this series.

  1. Ah. Another "almost ManneredLord" episode. This playthrough is my comfort series after work.

And that 3rd person moment of the lord talking to the peasant… How I missed you, PunElite. Welcome back.

  2. Please speed up the games while you are not doing anything and taking only, i want to see game progress a bit faster. Watching on 1.5X still feels slow and please stop pausing here and there. Nice play through other than that

  3. An Oxen pulling a plow would definitely enable much more efficient farming. My grandfather was born in 1894. He used to tell me about reading the bible while plowing with a mule in rural Alabama. He later became a minister and could quote the bible without looking for reference.

  4. I think the main iron goods production would grow around or near the mine itself.
Maybe you can make an artisan/mining village near the deposit, and import food from the main town (or even create a food production village later)

  5. Don't forget to actually activate crop rotation. You can select the three-year-rotation for every field! (very cool feature btw.)
And concerning your iron mines: Iron ore is very heavy. It would probably be logical to create tools and weapons from it locally and ship finished products instead of ore. But then again: The know-how for producing weapons and high quality tools was concentrated in regional centers and cities, so both things work.
But maybe your new village is a bit like Solingen in Germany and has become an iron-working center? Maybe they attracted a lot of specialists from elsewhere through subsidies?

  6. just dieing to play this game, your videos are helping us train how to get the game going when we start, i would like to say you said you werent going to stick to a grid and i feel your houses are kinda grid like, have some side roads and houses facing different directions but thats me being picky lol

also curious if you have a squar house plot of land woth just 1 house would it still be able to have a large garden/ orchard or does it jave to be the long back yard?

thanks again for the videos and jealous i cant play right now

  7. Long time fan, first time commenter PE. The more I see of this game the more I fall in love with the environments, music, animations and overall aesthetic. There is so much potential here, are there bodies of water in the game yet? Would be so cool to see ice fishing in winter, or fishing boats during other seasons. Potentially water mills along rivers/creeks? The only thing that could make your little village more picturesque here would be seeing it's reflection off a calm mountain lake. 🙂

  8. Hey Party Elite, few years ago you got me hooked to WR:SR. And now it seems like the same will happen for this game. I still need to buy it though. Your series is brilliant, you have an excellent narrators voice and I love how you build the town organically. I live in old Dutch village with a castle nearby and I find your layout quite authentic. Thank you for the great series!

  9. am loving this series.

note to the echonomy, you should probably look at importing food, the regional wealth is so big there is literally no reason not to supply the people with their needs

  10. I would argue that people could easily see where plants grew well and where they grew poorly. I'd argue they would use poor soil for other things, like housing, storage, etc. In fact I'd argue it's us that ignore such things these days, with our big machines made for efficiency of human time rather than micromanaging the terrain. Plus we use fertilisers, insecticides, and pesticides to get around fertility issues.

  11. everything is realistic except the pasture system
that size of pasture won't feed 30 sheep for one day

pastoral life is semi-nomadic. graze grass of one area then move to next area
