Manor Lords: But I Build a MODERN AMERICAN SUBURB!

What if you took the medieval city builder that is Manor Lords… But completely disregarded any historical accuracy and instead used the average American suburb or large town as the city planning? That’s what we’re going to find out today, in this Manor Lords video by me, Koifish!

That’s right, we’re going to play Manor Lords: But I Build a MODERN AMERICAN TOWN! I actually used to study city and community planning at University, so this is one of hidden special interests that I get to enjoy in Manor Lords! We’re talking dense population suburbs, dead-end streets and massive mansions!

Manor Lords is a strategy game that allows you to experience the life of a medieval lord. Expand your medieval village from a few small homes and farms, to a massive city full of craftsmen and traders! Manage resources and production chains, and expand your lands through conquest to become the ultimate Manor Lord!

Inspired by the art and architecture of late 14th century Franconia, Manor Lords prioritizes historical accuracy wherever possible, using it to inform gameplay mechanics and visuals alike. Common medieval tropes are avoided in favor of historical accuracy, in order to make the world feel more authentic, colorful, and believable.

  2. To make this a truly blue collar American town you're missing a tavern (or several) and an archery range (also several) so they can practice shooting their bows and getting drunk after work. Also more churches.
