The forest of bent trees were planet and shaped by an old carpentry company to make furniture. They didn't have the technology we do today to bend and shape wood with steamer chambers so they figured they would grow the bends into the wood. That's why most of the trees are lined up nicely like an orchard. There's nothing natural about the growth of these trees but people want to believe in something more fantastical because that would be more fun. Sorry folks. It's just a boring carpentry 'crop'
