  1. So sad. As hard as it is, I think the father's understanding of his son's problems in life will make his loss somewhat more bearable. Tearing down those dilapidated unsafe homes used for doing drugs & other nefarious activities wouldn't be the answer to the dilemma but it'd be a strong start.

  2. My condolences to his father. I took have the exact same story as do many in the whole state of Arkansas. It's not about where this person was found. It's about the destruction of communities and the severe mishandling and abuse of addicts in the State of Arkansas.

My ex Husband got a 20 year sentence for murder in Arkansas. He served 4 years. He got out and had a child that was once the youngest kid on death row in Florida. If my ex had done two thirds of his sentence, the murder in Florida would have never happened.

My child was looking at an Arkansas 20 year sentence for drugs. He would have done way more time there for that conviction than his father did for murder. There was drug court but no drug treatment. The nearest drug treatment was an hour away, cash only. There is no public transportation and none is provided through Probation/Parole systems. The Sheriff of the county ran that he was going to fight the crime that mattered and drug crime flashes on a TV screen. Murder, rape, child sexual assault, abuse of people. Those are the crimes that matter. Abusing addicts is not solving anything.
