  1. I worked for that god awful place not long ago…. I had one day of "training" with a regular rural carrier on his route. Instead of staying with him and continuing to learn the 500+ names and addresses, they threw me on every route in the office. I misdelivered mail, brought back trays of undelivered that I couldn't find boxes for, and many other mistakes related to non training. It's so bad there that the union has a strict policy that no RCA can be fired unless they are caught stealing or commit an act of violence. Even then, I was told by a steward that they were forced to sign a resignation. It's an awful place ran by awful people. Any doubts? Find anyone who has drawn unemployment from the USPS

  2. Spitting in the wind. Wake Tf up. NO ONE cares anymore. Especially if you're male, straight, christian. God forbid you're bald, and/or are conservative. Open season on HATE. Pure and simple hatred. My mail door is left open, ONLY when it rains, on purpose. Used to be an honorable job to have, one they took pride in, paid union wages, and folks retired from. Now, it's a hustle like any other. I mail NOTHING, it goes into the office and hand dropped.

  3. 99% of the mail delivered to my mailbox is unwanted garbage. The other 1% could be done online or delivered by one of the other private delivery services that do a much better job. The USPS is a failing dinosaur that needs to disappear or receive a total overhaul.

  4. Yes, we have had trouble with our mail!! Have been since we moved to this area!! If we are expecting a package, it's always the same message that says sorry we missed you when I know for a fact there's not been a attempt to deliver!, we always have to go pick it up ourself😡😊!! USPS has gone to hell in a hand basket, imagine that it being their government & all especially federal 😂🙄not funny…

  5. Here’s the poop. New hires aren’t well trained and are thrown on a route they don’t know, with a map and the instructions to follow the mail. yelled at for missing a package at a stop when they literally have hundreds in the truck that is jammed so full, you can’t find anything easily. Screamed at if they take to long ( management can’t leave in the evening until all carriers are back). Not to mention the painfully slow hand sorting a lot of mail into individual slots and package placement cards for each address. Backing up or down driveways is forbidden although it is unavoidable at times. If you miss a package your not allowed to double back because they can see when you do. Not to mention postal trucks have no air conditioning and the engine is under the dash and can get up to 130degrees. Heat exhaustion is common in the summer. My post office didn’t even provide personnel with water. RCA’s aren’t supposed to be worked more than 6 days a week, but often are because they are so short staffed due to high turn over. The pay is a two tier system where the long term people are paid a lot better and have 2 days off per week guaranteed.
Long story short. This job can be very demanding especially during the holidays , where there are so many packages in the back of the post office you can barely move around. Delivering Amazon packages just made things 10x worse. Chances are this carrier was overwhelmed and possibly ditched mail in order to not get in trouble.

  6. This is 100% our government at work, billowing from the TOP down…. It's SOMEWHAT your people, DIRECTLY in your zip code, in your facility…. But don't worry…. It'll NEVER get fixed 😢🤷‍♂
