  1. The feeling of riding this train is indescribable – it's like an aircraft – minus the turbulence. I try to ride it at least once every week whenever I'm free just for the sake of enjoying the journey.

  2. Arran is one of the reasons why I love British humor. But aside from the hilarious takes on the UK's railways, I love how he summarised the importance of Japan's bullet train in the global perspective.

  3. I usually dont subscribe to a YT channel unless I watch every latest videos the channel post for 3-4 months. But this single video was so impactful that I automatically subscribed without giving it a thought. Also, I dont comment on YT but damn this video is so good.

  4. The way you are talking about the British trains more or less mirrors the way I talk about the trains here in Sweden. Doesn't help that the last time we did practically anything with the train tracks in the Northern parts of the country it was truly the 19th century. I live in the central parts of the country (more like halfway south, but anyway), where most of the population live. Do we have enough tracks to be able to shuffle people around? Nope, haven't for years upon years. They have finally started to make some changes now, but oh boy has it taken them some time to get to that point.

Not to mention the mistakes they have done throughout the years. Bought some new trains from Italy. Fine. As long as it was summer, that is. Stopped working as soon as winter hit. Great idea to buy trains that can't handle colder weather when you live in freaking Northern Europe! Takes skills to be that incompetent.

Wish we had been inspired by Japan instead. We, at least, don't really have any natural disasters here. Generally. But really, get those Japanese here, and fix things. Please.

  5. This is old technology. We are in the digital age. There is no need to travel anywhere at breakneck speed. Especially for daily routes.

I understand if you want to go to a live even for a weekend. Yet this tech in japan is designed for daily routes for people.
