Magic Kingdom Pumpkins on Main Street USA! Columbia Harbour House, Haunted Mansion, New Merch & More

Today we’re visiting Disney’s Magic Kingdom theme park to see the very first pumpkin fall and Halloween decorations out for 2023, see lots of new merchandise, have delicious lunch, ride a favorite, show you a fun little secret, and see some park updates on a very rainy day! Disney World has started to transform Magic Kingdom and we’re taking a look at the first pumpkins and scare crowds on Main Street USA, plus the first pieces of Halloween merchandise for 2023! We also have lunch at Columbia Harbour House, one of the most popular quick service restaurants in the park, and try a brand new Haunted Mansion treat, the Happy Haunts Milkshake! We ride Haunted Mansion and spend time checking out the interactive, extended queue, and talk about the Hatbox Ghost joining the happy haunts soon, and what that might look like, and visit Memento Mori, the Haunted Mansion gift shop, where we see LOTS of new merchandise and displays, and I show you a fun little secret in that shop! We also check out the construction progress on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and see what areas are open near the former Splash Mountain, and a very pretty new addition for Bayou Adventure, as it’s being constructed! Thanks for hanging out with me on a very rainy day, weathering the rain, lightning and thunder in the dog days of summer at Magic Kingdom – the park can be so beautiful on a rainy day like this! Lots more fun to come!

Welcome to Super Enthused! My name is Jackie and I bring you along as we explore the best theme parks, unique attractions, travel adventures, historic sites, cool cities, great places to eat and stay, and more! Thanks for watching and STAY ENTHUSED!

  1. I love Halloween at Disney World. It's definitely one of my favorites. The food looks great. The rain is a bummer but a rainy day at Disney World is still better than a day in an office cubicle. We love following your adventures.

  2. I can’t believe more people are not talking about the Hatbox ghost placement AFTER they see the movie. I to was not happy about it until I saw the movie. It all makes complete sense and I can’t wait to experience the ride once he is added. The movie was excellent and so many Easter eggs. I probably missed a ton too.

  3. As a lover of the Eddie Murphy Haunted Mansion, I enjoyed the new Haunted Mansion. There were several times I noticed some issues with scene progression (like how did that happen in between scenes or what about that from before), but the nods to so much of the rides story made up for it. I do believe it earned the PG-13 Rating, though. I'm glad I didn't bring my 12 year old, I think he'd be pretty scared in some parts.

  4. I love the ride but when we went a few years ago the ride stopped at least 7 times while we were on it a few times for 5 to 10 minutes. It kind of ruined the ride experience for my kids they had never got to ride it before. It stopped so much for so long it didn't even feel like a complete ride.. I hope we get to go back and ride it again and they get a better experience. We saw the movie and loved it!

  5. Thanks for getting us in the Halloween spirit! Almost makes me feel cooler for a few seconds when I think about it. 😂🎃

I know Disney is trying to cut costs but they really could have shoehorned the Hatbox Ghost later in the ride somewhere by shifting a couple things around or taking out some less important theming. In the end not a big deal and I’ll take it where they are planning.

  7. The Columbia Harbor House chairs upstairs were built in Tell City Indiana at Tell City Chair company which is no longer in operation. The avac trash receptacle in Columbia Harbor House has a upstairs receptacle that is connected to a ground level receptacle. The only one in the Magic Kingdom with that design. I was in the Walt Disney World College Program January to May 1991.

  8. You should see the new movie. I was 50-50 on if I'd like a redo but omg it's great! I felt little weird about hat box ghost, but it totally makes sense. I explained the lore to my hubby and he was like "oh kinda makes sense now" and I think it's a cool addition to FL

  10. I would like to start with saying that you can send me your rain, I live in Fort Worth, Texas and we haven’t had any good rain since May. We have so many wildfires going on around here it’s crazy. I did not know that that’s where they took the picture at in the haunted mansion ride, thanks for the update. I need to plan a trip to Disney, I don’t think I have enough PTO at work though.
