  1. I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but Phil Collins is at least top 10 best male artists ever if you ask me. He has only masterpieces man……this is his best song,by the way,and in my top 25 best songs. This is only the sixth time you have reacted to one of my top 25 best songs, so let's see if you can find the other 19 😂 anyway, one of the best ballads ever too,so emotional man, love Phil with my whole heart ❤️👌

  2. i think he means with youre the only one who really knew me at all is because they were living together cuz they were married so she knew every habit, every quirk, every expression, every reaction. She's seen him at his worst and best and they grew together. She also saw him change from fiancé to husband to father… She's probably seen him grow in his career, etc… That's how you know someone truly. You can share your past with multiple people, having more than one basket but you dont truly know know someone unless youve lived together.

  3. This was a rejected song for the Face Value album. He was asked to do a song for a movie, dug up the rejected song, rewrote the lyrics to fit for the movie rather than reflecting his marriage/divorce. It's one of his most successful songs.

  4. If you have time, whether it's a reaction or just you, I recommend listening to this song at Live Aid 85' and No Ticket Required, both live performances, both different and much better imo!

  5. Great reaction….he has so much talent and knowing the background questions you spoke of sparked my own curiosity. Made me think of my experience with most songs that get me through.❤👍

  6. Great reaction. Only thing I wish is that you would have went more into the content of the song versus the musicality. Such powerful lyrics and what’s it’s like to experience someone leaving you. I don’t think it was the best live performance for this song. Listen again and listen to the lyrics very closely if you didn’t. One of my favorites.

  7. He was with Genesis in the 80's, playing drums, then the lead singer left, Peter Gabriel. Ofcourse Phil Collins continued to play drums there & also lead singer then. 'Against all odds' was in 1981, fabulous song. Once he left Genesis he had his own band ofcourse, so brilliant!! Excellent lead singer AND drummer!!! WOW!!
