I don't know about Waylon, however my dad met him there back in the 60s when dad worked for the utility company( and before he was electrocuted,) at the golf course…

I saw a similar environment at the shore of north Texas lake. I was exploring and I crossed in to a place just like that one . I won’t disclose the details of where . Was a beaver 🦫 family.

In Granbury we have documentary proof of beaver, nutria and otters.

Fascinating
Amazing, in the same vein, Jaguars used to include the southern US in their roaming range, it's been a LONG time since that was the case, but recently some have been spotted on trail cams INSIDE the US. In our lifetimes there might be Jaguars in Texas again.

I walked the same path this past February and was amazed with the water quality there. Had I realized the beaver had a hand in it I would have been even more amazed!

Well, I didn't know there were beavers in West texas. But now I know they are in the area. I will do my best to avoid disturbing their habitat while I am fishing in the area.
I remember seeing a dead beaver in that area about 20 years ago and wondering”what the heck is a beaver doing over here”! Now I know
