All of the stuff discussed is not even P2W. The real P2W rests when upgrading for the high end content and raids. There are high end gambling systems, the massive costs to upgrade weapons/armor, the card system, books and the massive costs to upgrade weapons/armor, the legendary skin system and the massive costs to upgrade weapons/armor…almost every player will instaquit. No one has seen this yet and in retrospect I'm glad we are starting in t3 so that people get exposed to this system much later.
Regarding the upgrade system, the chance to upgrade gets as low as 10% or even 3% for very high end gear. The pity system kicks in after enough consecutive failures that caused you to buyout the auction houses's materials several times over. There's a reason why several players have spent many thousands of dollars and some players have spent over $500,000.

As a person with a full time job 6 am to 6pm I was much more frustrated with wows p2w and ridiculous grind fest then my time on ru lost ark
I'm a FFXIV player that will be trying Lost Ark. It looks amazing and could be my new favorite MMORPG.
Also, I'm used to subscription MMOs with full price costs for each expansion, so unless Lost Ark makes me put in more money than that, then I have nothing to lose.

As someone who gave up WoW to play FF14, I'm definitely interested in Lost Ark. I think the difference is that I see these games as something to play together. Play FF14 hard after a content patch, and fill the other time with Lost Ark.
I think Lost Ark is more of a threat to WoW because WoW is more of a full time game. You need to keep up, or you'll fall way behind. And Lost Ark has the raids and pvp content that might appeal to WoW players who are bored. And if people who have been clinging to WoW try Lost Ark and like it, there's more if a change of them moving on permanently.

Final Fantasy player here, definitely more interested in playing Lost Ark. I'm a POE player and a Diablo player also, and this is a good middle ground for a dungeon crawler with more MMO aspects. So yes. This is something both my and my husband will be gaming. I do hope it sits well and matches our craves for dungeon crawling
2:20 if attacks didnt stagger minions trashmobs you would get swarmed during most of the content the game would look silly and less impactfull you would die most of the time and constantly using potions.

Would it be immoral if players in game store transactions were viewable via the inspect screen? This would allow non "pay to win" players feel they can measure themselves against something?
23:53 Amazon Games is known for terrible customer support. I along with some other New World players quit the game when the marketplace merge came in. There was a bug where some players lost all the items (and gold in buy orders) that they had in market when it happend.
Amazon Games customer support was extremely unhelpful, and in the end decided not to do anything about it.
I am still going to try Lost Ark, but I'm sceptical of the game in the long run.

It's really nice to just 'be done' with gearing and just focus on the content.
It's extremely hard to convince me to play content if that content is going to be invalidated the next expansion.

What i see is that it is free to play and it has a shop with pay to win elements. What i see its another fucking korean grinder that will cost me a lot of money if i dont have the time to play alot or want to look cool. Even if it is a good game, i am fed up with this kind of shit!
