  1. Some additional Pros and Cons I thought about after finishing this video…
    Pros:
    – Great soundtrack & SFX.
    – Nice screen shot mode & overall clean UI with decent customization options.
    – The developers "Smilegate" have shown many times to listen to the community and care about the game.
    – Training room where you can test builds with custom stats/engravings is amazing.
    Cons:
    – "The Tower" should be balanced separately for Healers & DPS, It's impossible for bards to clear tower fully at suggested item level.
    – There's a big botting issue in NA/EU due, reason being that Korean games require Korean SSN so devs often overlook the possibility of cheating when porting the game to other regions.
    – Life skills seem a bit underwhelming compared to other MMOs and are only really used as a money maker by creating battle items.
    – Abyss raids such as Argos don't show remaining boss HP % upon wipes like Guardian raids, I find this really annoying and causes frustration in raid groups.

  2. "the fun starts at endgame" that's not a con of THE GAME, more like personal opinion. I enjoyed the leveling process because I care about the story, cinematics were fun too. I don't want to see it more than one time, and it takes several hours to reach lvl 50, so of course there will be a power pass or knowledge transfers stuff. Still, you gain many cards by doing the story, solas card for example

  3. While I agree with your "pros" I can't believe how many content creators just refuse to acknowledge one of the biggest cons…the leveling experience. The first time leveling to 50 I really enjoyed the surprises and certain things were spectacular while the vast majority of it was a grind. Sure you get free "power passes" to instantly level up a few alts to 50 or spend some in-game gold to "knowledge transfer" more alt toons. But what this tells me is that the developer KNOWS the leveling experience is horrible. And if you find a friend that is on a different server then you HAVE to level up to 50 again since your roster is server specific and power passes can only be used on your roster server where you already have a 50. However, don't think that you can level up with that friend because the level-to-50 experience is designed to be SOLO. The game literally puts you in individual scenarios, even if you are grouped, to play through by yourself which is about 50% of the leveling experience.

  4. The initial questing to 50 is so mind numbingly terrible and the story had me cringing anytime I took a moment to listen to it. It felt like it was written by a 15 year old Korean programmer.

  5. Biggest con for me is, just because that ONE DUDE messed up the mechanic you pay the full price to the boss.
Oh but ''Team Play'' is fun, relying on each other is next level stuff. No sir, team play sucks. Team wipes sucks even more.
This is such a motivation killer for me that I ended up not logging in at all for 3 days.

  6. Lost ark is one of the worst "mmo's" ever, Market dead, pvp dead, no grind, cuz creeps don't drop shit in openworld besides adventure tome item's and some useless cheap crap, only 2 builds on each class, very poor equipment variety same as skins etc. This game will die in less than a year, same as BDO,Archeage,New world and other crap new mmo rpgs.

  7. After playing the game for more than 400 hours.. I can say some stuff about this game.

Now, I know people might not agree with this first thing I'm about to say, but personally, yes, you can progress through the game with only a SINGLE character. You can get to t3 1370 with one single character. Luck depends on it, but as of the moment, with the buffs that they will give us and the amount of materials we can get from other sources will definitely let people reach 1370+ easily. However, in the future, when you are trying to get to 1400+ ilvl, obviously the people with multiple alts are tier 3 will get their mains to reach higher ilvls faster.. unless you swipe.

As of the moment, the game just feels repetitive at least in NA/EU because of the lack of materials and things we can do in game. Now what do I mean about this? At one point, you will reach 1325+ ilvl, and because of the scarcity of the materials (Which should be changed in a few days) you won't reach 1370 instantly as f2p and you will spend days or weeks just to unlock the next content. Now, there is other content, life skills, collectibles, rapports, side quests pvp and just overall exploring. However we all know that the real content everyone is looking for are the ones that give you amazing rewards without picking up mokokos which gets boring for most people.

The honing upgrades are fine, yes, fine, eventually we will reach 5% to 1% of honing. It is a korean mmorpg and it has always been this way, nothing I can say about that. Pay to win? Yes. Still fun to play despite being pay to win? Yes. Just because something is pay to win, does not mean it is not fun. It just means, if you are someone who always looks at other peoples gear instead of just focusing on your own then you will feel jealous because in no dimension or world will you ever be the top player with the best build/armors in a game that is pay to win.

Cosmetics? There are only a few for now, but they will be extremely better soon enough, I am f2p, but I will pay for those skins a lot instead of swiping for progression.

The PvP is amazing, yes, there are classes that you will need to put on 2x more work than they will because of how overpowered they are. But eventually you will learn how to cheese them.

The story? At first it will suck, then further on in the game it becomes better, not the best , but not bad. Just like the video said, the content isn't in the 1-50 grind, but in the endgame grind.

Now what about free to play players? How in the world can we get gold to actually play the game? Is it even possible to become a gold millionaire as f2p?Yes, yes it is, as for now, the only good way to earn gold is through being lucky, doing tradeskills and choosing to sell your materials in exchange of losing potential progression. But I am sure this will change in the future when we get more content.

Community? Toxic most of the time, but you will still see a lot of nice people.

How do I feel about this game? I like it, I will continue playing it for the next months, maybe years to come. I am currently at 1362, yes.. I am stuck and kept on losing honings. I have 3 characters at tier 3 and they are funneling materials to my main. The honing sucks but it is what it is. I play the game to have fun, to take me away from my own painful reality. I am f2p, I never look at peoples progression, only my own and I guess my friends progressions but I never judge them or say the game is unfair. The thing is, the less you look at other people, the more you will enjoy this game. And I think that applies not only in this game, or any games with these types of content.. but also in real life where you can enjoy your life if you just simply.. stop being jealous at other people and start being thankful for what you have reached.

  8. Piano global marketplace using a different kind of currency that you can only earn from events or buy discourages of the activities surrounding duping when you’re doping generally it’s two sell items for currency you can convert into cash and I’m betting that that currency that you can buy in the cash store or earn it advance is not transferable any other way except through selling items and the selling of items in the global marketplace is not pinpointed between two players meaning you have to post it and someone buys it and you have no control over who that is so it defeats the whole black market sale of duped items it can be annoying am I played other games where you have to earn a certain kind of currency before you can buy marketplace items but I would rather that than have massive duping making those items not very valuable

  9. And P I have passed in what ways this game in MMO I mean I get it you go on raids and you go to Dungeon’s with other players probably queueing up or you know joining in a co-op team or whatever before going in the dungeon but that doesn’t cons do in MMO how often do you run into other players in the game or is all the content instanced I mean is every bit of this game I’m I’m not able to look at it myself but I feel like every bit of the content in this game is instant instance and so not technically an MMORPG I just wish it were on Consol so I could take a look at it myself but looks like a fun game regardless but I just think it’s unfair to call a demon MMORPG when you are mostly playing it alone or with a team of of three or four people

  10. I guess what I’m saying is is that if that constitutes and M and mold and games like borderlands all right man mows because you can play at solo in instance content and tell you can play it off-line but you can also go online and match make for a team and it seems to me like that’s what you do in lost Arc

  11. "Most games these days have some form of p2w" and that's exactly why I don't play them anymore. Lord Ark is just another corpse on that pile. This live service bullshit is just so annoying

  12. I think the biggest Con for me here is that it takes 74 gigs to install! When New World only takes like 47 gigs or something like that. The fact that I can't realistically play multiple games when it would take up that much space is really unfortunate. I do wonder why the massive size in comparison when New World takes so much less in install size..

  13. Great review! One tip you might know: In the auction house, you can switch categories on the left, and it will retain your search settings. So I can search engravings for a necklace and then click rings on the left, and those engraving settings will still be there. Doesn't fix the other problems you mentioned, but it's a workaround. I also wish there was a history for the marketplace. You can see past transactions in auction house, but not the market.

  14. biggest con(s) for me as of now is lack of transparency, lack of class release, communication, and excuses on a extremely delayed road map. it may seem like im nit picking but the reality is that, as a Tree of Savior player who played from launch until 2020, watching the same shit show go down is already exhausting. for people who say its fine, reality is that its not fine at all. If you've ever watched the life of a game go from 300k+ players from launch all the way to now, its really sad. there is barely any players on as well as most of the community being tight in their guild(s). watching a game that could had been really amazing to just holding onto a thread really sucks. personally for me, for LA, i actually wanted to play summoner after hearing that it was there in the closed beta. so i was like cool and proceeded to check if it was there. turns out, the class was completely replaced to sorc, and i was like wtf? it's understandable that they replaced it cause of the bug in pvp, but u could always bring the class back asap once that was fixed, but no. its just all these bs excuses of withholding classes(horizontal content) back, to people complaining about honing rates(which doesnt come till valtan) to the mistake of releasing argos way too fast for the community. But let me say this here now, u r not forced to hit 1370. u shouldn't be worried about FOMO if u were not planning on taking advantage of the marketplace from the start. now to the others down playing other people's complaints/concerns, just stop it. saying what AGS is doing now is fine is pretty much being in denial. taking a look at their product NW and the shit show that happened, it should draw in concerns more than anything. If the same method being used in NW is the driving factor of LA, then it's a red flag for concerns. looking at what they have to do now… which is pretty much injecting the game with said resources. but for me, that said resources don't mean anything if the character that ur enhancing is a place holder because they completely replaced the class that u wanted to play(summoner) with something else(sorc). so thats the other problem too with class releases being extremely delayed.. there are players that are purposely stuck at t2 because they're waiting on X class to come out so that they can finally play the game. then you go to the wise remarks of why don't u just make an alt and play alts. well, do u think everyone enjoys playing alts? in all honesty, i hate playing alts. it becomes more of a job(chore) than it is a game to have fun. granted i have alts in t2 now, its just not as fun. too much repetitiveness as well as how knowledge Xfer works. If u paid attention to it, u have to have X amount of characters that has completed that story. so if u knowledge Xfer one chara, then u have to manually go through the entireeeeee story again for that X hours and waste ur time doing that on ur alt while u could be on ur main just farming and doing X content.
