Livestream flying the Avro Vulcan from the Shetland Islands to Waddington in Flight Simulator

Today we’re taking the mighty Avro Vulcan on a journey from the north to the south of the United Kingdom, airport hopping along the way. Hopefully we make it without needing to refuel – it all depends how distracted we get, and how much climbing we need to do!

Postscript – if you fast-forward to the end, you’ll see the Vulcan go into the grass alonside the runway at Waddington in zero visibility conditions. This is why we have decision heights folks 🙂

  2. Also it's why you get the local QNH prior to landing – your altimeter was reading over 400ft when u hit the ground – airfield alt is 200 odd – which probably contributed to things. Turning on the Rad-alt would also have helped. But overall a very nice flight – I'll certainly be getting this aircraft as soon as I have some spare time to actually play with it.

  3. The free Waddington scenery is not bad. My home unit for 10 years and most importantly has XM607, the first Black Buck Vulcan proudly on display on the far side of the airfield.
