We are so privileged to have had these brave men fighting for our freedom.
It must not be squandered.
I am British and take tremendous pride in our armed forces – good lads, brave lads and lasses.
They should bring back national services to show the people of England what they want frew for us to have are freedom in the 1st and 2rd world war
LEST WE FORGET π»
Such a privilege to know that we still have some our WWII Veterans still with us today!
So thankful to Almighty God that America and all the Allies were able to come together to fight against the tyranny and oppression in both the European and Pacific Theatres. God bless them all! β€π
the crazy thing is while airborne of today jumps into combat and yeah its scary and stuff.
but when you hear of the complet utter hell the airborne went into in ww2 in planes that were essentially flying tin cans you appreciate the balls of steel those men had.
Watching from Los Angeles, California, USA!!
Iβm sorry if I upset anyone but all the boys in world war 2 died for nothing β¦ because governs after government have let us be invaded by a foreign army and mass Islamic invasion
The Real jumps were done at night landing in flooded fields
The americans never had quick release parachutes
Resulting in many drowning!
No flooded fields?
imgin the feelings of the frech locals seeing that sight
Good to see that the DZ Safety Officer stuck to their guns – even if there was pressure to make sure the display went ahead.
This was thrilling. Those guys hit the ground pretty hard. What it must have been like 80 years ago for those men with heavier loads and rifles, I can barely imagine. God bless all those taking place today, bless the man of D-Day living and dead.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
7:09 jumpers top centre, looks like the canopies made contact.
π’ Numerous illegal migrants are crossing into France from North Africa and the Middle East.
π It is the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Normandy, with participation from the UK Paras regiment.
π«π· French officials, appearing almost comical, required the Paras to present their passports in the field.
π€― The speaker found this situation surprising and felt it showed a lack of gratitude for British sacrifices in WWII.
π³βπ The speaker criticized modern generations as not being as willing to sacrifice as those who fought in WWII.
πͺπΊ There is a suggestion that EU officials, still upset about Brexit, influenced the treatment of the Paras.
π The speaker expressed frustration with perceived EU bureaucracy and a lack of gratitude from France.
π³ Strong support was voiced for a complete and final separation from the EU, feeling the current situation is insufficient.
π’ Zere are many, many illegal migrants crossing into France from North Africa and the Middle East, like sneaky Resistance agents.
π It is ze 80th anniversary of ze D-Day Landings in Normandy, and our brave UK Paras regiment did zere thing.
π«π· Oh la la! Ze French officials, looking like characters from "Allo Allo," made ze Paras present zere passports in ze middle of ze field!
π€― Ze speaker is shocked and feels zis is most disrespectful, showing how ze French can forget ze British sacrifices in WWII.
π³βπ Ze speaker also thinks ze modern generations are not as tough or willing to fight as zose brave men from WWII.
πͺπΊ Zere is a suggestion zat ze EU officials, still upset about Brexit, are behind zis petty treatment of ze Paras.
π Ze speaker is very frustrated wiz ze EU bureaucracy and ze French ingratitude, saying, "Merde!"
π³ Ze speaker wants to be completely and finally rid of ze EU, thinking our current situation is not good enough.
Great to see french can check our paras passports whilst we get 80 refugges from their coast and pay them for getting them across thank you sunak and starmer i think you are both traitors and do not deserve to be at our soldiers rememberance service come on reform, we will remember the veterans every one better than our leaders, and so called mps
Could your presenter not have worn a tie for the occasion instead of looking like he's just rolled out of bed?
Much respect to the those who took part in the D day landings especially those who paid the ultimate price.
Thank you Veteranβs for what you did 80 years ago. My dad went to Germany but did not participate in D Day. He was only 17 when that happened.
Now Germany is a close ally and Russia is the scum bag
As an US Army Iraq veteran, my honors and respect to all the brave men involved in such a offensive. My grandfather was in the Pacific during the war. The most heroic men to ever serve across all allied forces. God bless you gentlemen
Restrictions restrictions, welcome into todays defense forces π if the Russisans are knocking on our doors in a couple of months there will be so much restrictions we wont be able to fight them off…
"Previously, British paratroopers had to show their passports at any D-Day celebration, even when the UK was in the EU, because it wasn't part of the Schengen zone. The same policy applied to US and Canadian paratroopers."
Salute
Brave men wee owe every breath wee take to those brave men and women They shall grow not old,as we that are left grow old,age shall not weary them nor the years condemn,as the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them
Touching tribute to our fallen heroes and the heroes that are there
Why didnβt the paratroopers in 1944 have their passports stamped π€·ββοΈor the boat people landing here, immigration ππ€£
rumour has it the troops had to show their passports on landing.
funny the frogs can't exercise similar control over their coasts.
My grandfather was there, jumped in with the 501st PIR. Respect to the sacrifices these men made.
Bravo.
Imagine aborting a drop because of wind on D-Day.
It was a tradition to jump a bunch of 'crickets' (the little metal "clicker" used for authentication – "one click, followed by two clicks") in during the memorial jumps and then give one to any kids that turned up. Looks like there's still some version of that going on…
What a clown show, funny, pathetic and sad
Fake smiles, Fake hugs and speeches
Biden not knowing where he was and then that speech by Biden who said he known Putin for 40 years and calling the Russian President a Dictator?
They Invite Ukraine ignored Russia
France surrendered to Hitler after 45 days… The Soviet Union fought for 4 years and drove the Nazis to Berlin.
Normandy would never have happened if the Soviets had not drove out the Germans on the Eastern Front.
Ukraine's contribution to WWII was the 14th Waffen Granadier Division of the SS ( 1st Galician) fighting on the wrong side of history. 2024 Ukraine is invited to D-Day celebration, still on the wrong side of History
Zelenskys is an illegitimate Leader who's term ended on the May 20th, not Democratically elected and Dictator and actor at a clown show that was D-Day Celebrations.
