No it's clear he's only direct supervisor to Aventurine. Doing things through disguise and roundabouts way also doesn't fit his personality. I doubt he can stand playing fool for even a minute.
On another note, March saw Dr. Ratio on the dreamscape she was in, in the middle of an auction but he left abruptly without buying anything. She messages us this like after we're done with the golden hour tour with Firefly but before we got roped into the primal dreamscape by Sparkle. Not to mention, like the last place we've been in before that was the Dream's edge, and that Aventurine Sparkle cutscene played after we entered Dream's Edge for the first time through the manhole.

it's actually high possibility , because if you went to the same place Aventurine Sparkle scene , you'll see a " bear " , which surprisingly able to shape shift to other form based on it's mood

Two: Aventurine actually does also have a habit of counting the time- when we see him in our room he saws it was his room half a system hour ago.
