  2. What a video! Again, the emotions run HIGH. But, what YOU ALL DO so quickly, efficiently and so well makes it easier on the eye and heart. Watching those poppets run off in the grass, I agree wholeheartedly Tawnee, is THEEEEEeeeeee best part. I also love seeing the trucks arriving back from 2.5/3 hours on the road from the auction premises. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be the Stable Hand. My dream come true. Would live under a tree with my 2 fur children just to do this – but —– I am all the way south – really south!! Cape Town, South Africa. Seriously, my dream come true job. I just keep on dreaming though. Thank you all. YOU ARE AWESOME and YOU ALL R.O.C.K xx

  3. That Walker stallion was the saddest thing I have ever seen, and I have tended to dying horses before. Because he was dying…the leg was bad enough, but he also had a section of intestine that had herniated into the scrotum and was likely strangulating. The pain must have been unimaginable. It was hard enough to witness it on camera, and it brought back many sad memories for me. It takes courage to stand witness to this and provide comfort in person. I can only hope that a way is found to provide the Last Act of Kindness at the auction grounds in the future, so that horses like this do not have to be transported. (That said the transport you provided, which allowed him to lie down, was as humane as it could have been, and I thank you for that.)

  4. Hi Horse plus, You guys are truly angels on the ground. I came into the original video a bit later when it first came out and it was mentioned during that video that a horse had been taken to a vet already but i had not seen him. now i have seen him i am truly heart broken and angry. With the amount of humane society and horse rescue out there who can tell you the cold hard truth about how Big Lick horses are treated to become Big lick horses, why anyone can be that impervious to an animals suffering at the hands of repeat offenders of the inhumane treatment, the cruelty of these animals, just makes me so angry, i could scream long and hard. I wish we humans could inflict the same kind of cruelty, on the repeat offenders of such cruelty. It isn't looking very good for him but many many others are treated for the same injuries. the Vets that are still cutting tendons in anyway other than to provide comfort and to help a horse heal should have their license taken a way with a life time ban on treating any animal because if they can do that what else are they capable of with someone else's animals. The people with Big Lick Horses should have a lifetime ban on owning any animal and should spend time behind bars. Any owner who can do this kind of damage to a horse should not be allowed to own an animal for a life time I don't mean like a prison time i mean until he or she dies. What the hell is the Texas government thinking about allowing this kind of abuse towards an animal continue. Why is it that other states are seeing neglect and abuse as something that cannot continue and seeing horses as a pet not as a farm animal or stock animals i think is the actual term used. It breaks my heart to see animals suffering but if there is anything that can be done for these animals it has to happen on a Government level and reign down the worst punishment available to humanely deal with the people who are inhumane to animals not just the people who own horses but also the people who do this for a living and make money off of cruelty should have their assets seized as well. I cried when i saw that horse laying down. he has such a kind face even after the way he was treated to trust you to give him help, is remarkable. Poor baby. Please give us an update on him as soon as you can. God bless him and i will pray for the horse. Even though it is not looking good for him. It is frustrating how people can continually do this kind of abuse, and still profit from it makes me even more angry. I wouldn't surprise me if that poor horse died on the way to the Vets.

  5. So pleased that you rescued these lovely horses. A question from a fascinated equine newbie, here in the UK…how do you decide which horses can be grouped together after the auction? What do you look out for in each horse’s body language and behaviour? Thanks xx

  6. Wow I can't believe you guys strip the stalls, instead of picking the pee spots and manure, you'd save a lot in shavings and labor. More importantly and as always thank you for saving these beautiful animals! I'm always amazed at what people are capable of and the true evil that exists in humans, heartbreaking and disgusting…. I just don't understand..

  7. Right, it takes a LOT of time, patience and hard work from all of you! May God bless you all for what you do. These animals need you so much, it’s a love that doesn’t get near the appreciation or gratitude that it deserves! ❤🙏🏽👱🏻‍♀️🌹

  8. That poor Big Lick horse. It's terrible that they view the horses they use as so disposable that they don't even ensure they're using gear that won't break down the horse to the point it can't do what they want. The horses either manage to endure what's done to them and suffer long term or they end up like the poor stallion in this episode. Neither is a fate any living creature should have to face.

  9. Thank you ❤ I do this with birds over many decades. And sometimes I just can give them the last act of kindness with a vet. It sucks but it’s way better than let them suffer. Then times better tears than leaving them in pain. Rip ❤

  10. The best part of this video was watching the group turned out on the pasture. I teared up. I was so happy for those horses just being able to feel the grass and graze on it. They looked so happy.
