  1. I hate when people complain a mod is OP. Unless you are on a pvp server, then who cares? If it’s too OP then don’t play it. That’s the beauty of modded minecraft, you can play how you want

  2. I can’t remember the last time thermal had its flux ducts. I wanna say 1.12 but with how fast the versions of MC keep coming I hope to see them updated soon!

  3. the eatiing while full thing is probably just a feature of gobber for those foods in particular!
similarly, in fully vanilla, you can eat golden apples and chorus fruit while your hunger is full, probably because you're usually eating them for their other effects (but they do increase hunger/saturation), but its just a tag you can put on foods

  4. Dire, I love your series and ive watched for years but I refuse to do anything with overwolf. They are trying to claim modded minecraft packs as their own and making so i can't use them in my own launcher using multimc. I understand they probably pay you to have your pack on their launcher but i refuse to use it because of the bloatware that is overwolf.

  5. Found that some of the Thermal Dusts (Nickel was the one that I stumbled on) have an issue where they cannot be smelted. Basically takes away from some of the usefulness of pulverizing iron ore and clogs up the pulverizer.

  6. I started on a completely random seed. Due east of the spawn a very short ways is a Mushroom Fields island, with an ocean temple right nearby, and an abandoned mineshaft visible in the caverns from the peak of the island.

Also, spawn was in a jungle, with a nearby archwood forest.

    Seed is [1696195226526265867].

  7. Hey Dire! Maybe when Stoneblock 3 wraps up you could try uploading a new game again alongside S12? I think watching you play the new Dwarf Fortress would be tons of fun!

  8. Hi guys a general question for everyone in the hope u can Help me! Even if i played much heavier packs than this one on stable FPS i can't get past 40/50 playing Direwolf20 1.19…i tried to lower some settings but the only way i have to see a decent increase it's by lowering the render distance < 8 chunks wich is weird considering i always play with at least 12 chunks of rendering in every modpack…there is something related to it being on 1.19 that makes performance drop and perhaps i should do something through Nvidia settings? (for context i have latest java version and 6GB RAM allocated out of 16 on minecraft tell me if u need other infos)

  9. I don't know if you'd necessarily call it an exploit… but I'm 90% positive that it's unintended functionality:
Exchanging gadget is the craziest bulk mining excavation tool ever. Make a heat generator from Mekanism to passively power a charging station. Total cost: 14 iron ingots, 4 lapis, 4 redstone, 1 osmium ingot, two copper ingots, two wood planks. Technically don't even need any energy pipes.
So then you grab up two stacks of gravel or sand, target them with the gadget. Dig a single 18 deep, one wide 16 long trench. Dig out the bottom two blocks of one of the walls. Line the floor with torches… gadget the wall. Mine next two blocks out of the wall, torches, gadget… and it's dirt cheap on the power. It can exchange for the netherite mining level ores and its crazy fast.
Haven't quite got it perfected for doing the torch placement less manually but I'm sure someone smarter might. Initial tests with the copy paste gadget were unfruitful but I'm tinkering.

  10. I have spent a lot of time searching the nether, and I can't find any blaze, or fortress. Is anyone else having this problem? I even built a mob farm in the nether, and no blaze will spawn.

  11. Ore Dictionary in general needs another look. Nickel is completely broken and will not even smelt in a vanilla furnace or even ore dictionary with the Mekanism Oredictionificator. Iron is also broken when it comes to Invar. The recipe calls for Mekanism iron dust and Immersive Engineering nickel only to compete the craft. It will not take any other version of either dust form. Those are the instances I've come across to far.

  12. I've always wondered why the creators of Minecraft decided that diamonds are rare. In reality, diamonds are among the most common gems on Earth. Sapphires, rubies, and emeralds are much more rare in comparison. The only reason they're expensive is because DeBeers, who owned much of the diamond industry at the time, made advertisements that made women believe a man didn't love them unless they bought them diamond jewelry. As diamond jewelry became more popular, DeBeers raised the prices. Diamonds are extremely overpriced for their rarity (or lackthereof).
