  1. I like the ResQme mounted, like via zip-tie, centerline where they're accessible to both driver and passenger(s). The spring loaded punch is better than a hard mounted one in case the user is injured or weak. The only thing I'm iffy about is the retention of the plastic clip holding it together in case of a violent crash.

  2. I have some no name device I got online several years ago. It can cut seatbelts and break glass and it lives in my center console, and a first aid kit. That's all I have. I rarely drive, I don't drive near/over water, it doesn't really snow here, and I rarely drive at night so I don't have anything else.

  3. I have a map pocket build into my seat (like in your old truck) that I keep a SOG Field Knife in.That knife has strap cutter build into the sheath and an exposed tang to strike with plus obviously a capable blade. I also have a pair of trauma shears in the center console.

  4. I always wearing a rubber band with a little tungsten cube, a DIY emergency sling shot, since an car accident few yrs ago. I was trapped in the seat upside down, everything is in chaos, there was no space and time to swing a hammer or find any tool.
Rubber band will fail during time, keep an eye on it. Tungsten can be shaped by diamond stone

  5. I used to have a glass breaker similar to the yellow one you were talking about, idk what happened to it tho. But I don't even need 1 nemore since I'm disabled and can't drive nemore. But I still collect knives and for having neuropathy I'm still a pretty good shot with my pistol and shotgun, I dnt really carry a gun nemore but I still feel comfortable carrying 1 cus I kno I can still hit what I'm aiming at

  6. James Yeager was prepared to fight and defend any external threat, but in the end it was the internal threat, his health that got him. Very sad irony that you should keep in mind.

  7. I am an EMT and EMS Captain. I carried a resqme on my radio pouch, used it on a serious crash to pop the window and cut the seatbelt. It works really really well. I added them to all my ambulances' jump bags right on the carry strap and cannot recommend them enough, especially for sub $10.

  8. This is the kind of preparedness a lot of ppl (myself included) don't think about. I'm buying a 3 pack of ResQme for all the vehicles in my family.
    Thanks Jeff!

  9. Just me but, I never hang anything from the visor. Don’t want anything flying towards my head or anyone with me if I wreck. Reqsme on the keys if I’d go that route. Steering columns are extremely strong so, in theory “if I wind up in a lake or etc.” I can reach my right hand up towards my keys. Potato “powtato”. All situational.

  10. I've kept one of those rescue tools in my cars for decades, was one of the first pieces of gear I ever got. I've never had to use one beyond going to the junk yard to make sure it actually works, but it's like insurance, you gotta have it and with some luck and care you never use it. Really enjoy your channel.
