Let's Talk About Journaling On a Bad Day When in a Bad Mood #junkjournal #journaling

In this video I talk about getting some of our most difficult feelings out and how we can do. We don’t necessarily want to add our deepest darkest fears or most difficult feelings into our pretty journals that are full of good memories and good feelings. I offer a small and very easy solution that works well for me. My hope is that you find some comfort here 🙂

Here is the video from Pam at The Paper Outpost making the very easy folder:

Thanks so much for spending time with me and watching my video.
Please give me a thumbs up if enjoyed this video. Happy journaling, Lisa xo

  1. Wow! Thanks for that vid. Years ago I was doing a silly journal I was having a lot of fun with but then the journal took a dark turn because of what was going on around me at the time. It was funny to see my organized pages with cartoon characters floating around devolve into harsh scribblings of overly serious and boring thoughts. I had to read it all and then destroy it. I should have made a separate "rough times" journal to burn at a later date. Ahhhhh. But that was a long time ago. Should start a new fun journal again.

  2. #@&% dirty dishes! I have been known to blow up because I just barely finish the dishes only to find a glass sitting on the table, usually right next to my husband. 😂 It is good that you have found a way to get that frustration out. I’m afraid to write down my negative stuff because I’m afraid I’ll die suddenly before I can get rid of it and someone will read it. Neurotic much? 🤪😂 I find not watching the news helps…life is tough enough!

  3. I have several journals. One for free writing, one for faith journaling, one for inspiration and daily journaling and memorabilia. Each serves a purpose and my creativity flows better. Sometimes words aren’t necessary and my analog collage image journal is best for brain dumping how I feel as news creeps into my mind and I need to process it.

  4. Just the video I needed!!! Thank you for this! Like you, I love watching videos of lovely art journals and they are great but you are right, nobody talks about the journaling process as it relates to the dark and negative feelings. Ironically it’s these feelings I probably need to journal about the most but don’t. It’s almost like I don’t want to “defile” the beauty of my journal with the ugliness I feel some times. A plain dollar store composition notebook and a gigantic sharpie is brilliant! It’s a place to spew without messing up the pretty journal and it gets to be raw, unfiltered, primal, and most importantly, disposable. Brilliant! Also, I totally related to your comment about intellectualized feelings versus just feeling. And potty mouth- I could make a sailor blush. I worked at a plywood plant summers to pay for college- learned words I didn’t even know where words! 🤣 Anyway, thanks for being brave and real in talking about this topic! And the tags turned out great too! 💕

  5. Hey woman! I know it can be challenging being in a funk! Glad to hear your turning it around. There is not a dang thing wrong with anger, it's human. In my mind as long as your not hurting others or yourself…let her blow man. It's very healthy IMHO. Like you the F word is one of my fav's, nothing better for when you stub your toe LOL Once when I was in my twenties and super mad about something work related…I ripped a towel bar straight out of the wall in my bathroom lol. Then I was more mad because I had to replace some of the sheet-rock, re-texture the wall…paint it, and buy a new bar. Hahaha Seriously tho, were all going through a ton of poo! We just have to stick together and help each other. What I have learned is it's the hard, challenging , "I want to leave the planet" things are the just the things I have the deepest life-changing lessons. When were honest and share about the difficult things it helps demystify, and helps get clarity. So thanks for sharing Lisa! Don't worry about not knowing why. Sometimes when we can be okay with not knowing we open to the possibility of knowing.

Oh, I tried looking for a 31 stamp. The only one I found says Oct 31. It's on Etsy ( of course ) It's $5.50 The name of the shop is pinkflamingo61 if that works for you. If you want strictly just 31, I would just buy a number set, Or maybe print it and use it as a sticker…cheapest option lol. Take good care Luv… just remember hard and good times pass. The trick is accepting them both. We live in the land of Bardo, of contrast…nothing wrong with that, but when we have learned that were not our emotions or ego we are really on the course of learning what we really are. 💕

  6. I don't have many bad mood days. It is the sad mood days that I have trouble with and I have no desire to be creative on these days. On these days I tend to watch videos of others creating and trying to share some of their joy with very little success. Your tags turned out great. Maybe the act of stamping is a great way to rid anger.😸😹

  7. Oh my goodness Lisa 💕 I just ❤️❤️❤️ your honest fights with yourself 🤺 “ is it OK to have bad moods…why yes of course it’s” then talking to yourself about what the best way, that works for you to help get yourself out of your FUNK ❤️❤️❤️ your thought process💕 it’s NOT easy to put yourself out there to admit you are having an off day ! It’s important to recognize, identify, then trouble shot how to deal with it in a constructive way . I'm always here for a listening ear or needed HUG💕 I could already tell that doing this video was good therapy for you….keep your head held high & keep smiling like there is no tomorrow 🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗
