  1. Not going to watch live so I don't spoil things for myself but I'll keep coming back after making progress in my own game! I guessed that the dragon man might be Rauru and now I wish I made a bigger deal about it after the last trailer haha. Have fun playing!

  2. Voice direction sounds a bit more solid this time around. Zelda's VA has done pretty good
My only complaint so far is the lag when using the quick menus on the d-pad. They don't feel as snappy as in BotW where you could quickly switch weapons or shields without waiting

  3. Imagine if the Nintendo programmers worked with an actual good system hardware and not something almost obsolete like the switch???
    This game looks incredible.

  4. Seems quite interesting so far, but goodness… the voice acting is terrible… It's like they chose random people or extremely novice voice actors and gave them no direction for their performance, every time a character talks it almost completely takes me out of the story. The VA might be marginally better than BotW, but especially for important characters the quality of the VA is far, far below what should be expected these days. I'm not expecting the best VA in the industry, but this is like late 90's to early 2000's levels of voice acting, almost emotionless, doesn't seem like the VA's even knew what they were even voice acting seems like there's no direction, absolutely no presence. Doesn't help that the character dialogue is also quite mediocre.

I'm sure the overarching plot will be great, but the moment-to-moment character dialogue is frankly terrible. It's possibly better in the Japanese version, but if so that just shows little effort put into localization of the game. This is my main issue with Nintendo these days, they make good games, really fun to play, usually with pretty decent sometimes even great stories, but localization, dialogue, voice acting, they seem to put almost no effort into, for a mainline entry of one of the most valuable IPs of a titan of the industry, there are just some things that shouldn't be this way. The game still looks quite good, but those aspects of it are disappointing.

  5. I love that Zelda is nerding out about the historical relics. I realized I was taking screenshots at the same time that she was taking pics in game.
This really is the most relatable Zelda for me.

  6. 2:36:24 this took me: 4 mine carts, 3 fans, 2 hooks and about 30-45 minutes of trial and error, driving my train off the cliff, dying and finally reloading the game (when I ran out of pieces) to accomplish. Thank you for struggling your way through it and making me feel not quite so dumb for struggling with it too 😊

  7. Me: struggles for 20+ minutes trying to get to the third shrine before giving in and calling it a night.
NBC: immediately finds the solution and implements it
But hey, at least I remembered the portable pots right away… that counts for something, right? 😅

  8. Look at the walls, pockmarked, burnt.

Its like the malice itself drilled and burned the halls.

Not to mention all the broken walls they walked through.

Just how powerful is this iteration of Ganondorf?

  9. Pura: it’s been 7 years. She didn’t recover, she continued to age normally. She’s physically 18 and smoking hot now. But she’s probably like 135 or so. Which means Robbie is a fossil.

  10. im sooo glad one of my favorite zelda theory channels actually streams this game! it’s been an amazing journey even just waiting for this game and exchanging theories and now we finally get to play and not just that. to me seeing someone's reaction who was as obsessed as me, while also playing it myself is just the best way i could imagine playing this game. thank you for everything!

  11. Hilarious idea creating a super long train to cross the broken rail bit. 😂 I got past it with one carriage and a hook so when you mentioned going bigger to solve it made my day. Things like that and you cheating death when the carriage got caught (just) by its hook make TotK my game of the year for entertainment alone.

  12. I take it back. I posted too early. Amazing work to cross with that super long mega fan train. It shows how amazing the game is to allow the player to think way out of the box to solve puzzles. Nice one, pity it was all for a measly portable pot.

  13. I unintentionally did the 2 shrines in reverse order of this, which seems to be the "intended" route, but it's cool that the game makes it possible to go either way. There're paths that you can use in reverse and even an alternate way to get the energy cell if you get to an area that requires zonai devices without one.

  14. 1:04:10 things like THIS is why ill probably have a lot of fun watching first playthroughs of this game. A lot of people are tackling the same problems, with the same tools, and still coming up with different pathways and results just because our brains are wired differently. God this game is already the winner of tHe GOTY

  15. 4:07:49 omg, this didn’t even occur to me, I ascended to the top and then jumped down from there 😂 I tried to push them open and they didn’t move so I just went “well, guess I need to go over” 😅
