Let's Play Starfield Episode 64 – Dumb Little Terminal

We upload Kelton’s recording to SSNN before returning to the lodge to do a little research. After that we deliver the artifact to Constellation and spend a little time talking to Cora. We then go to the Well to interview Talia O’Shea.

  1. I've got a couple of hundred hours in the game and completed most of the quests and I've never touched a crafting bench or built an outpost. I think in early development outposts were meant to harvest fuel for your ship, but that mechanic was kiboshed. As it stands now outpost building is just a side activity for those that like base building. Towards the end of the main story you have an option to do something at an outpost as well, but it's not required.

  2. 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 "I mean I kinda… like to try to find my way over there on my own…" No you don't!! You are constantly complaining about the game not telling you where to go or what to do.

  3. I love cheese, so my pizza toppings of choice are lots of different cheese: gorgonzola, mozzarella, parmesan, feta… mmm, now I'm hungry for pizza. Damn you, Fox! 😉 Aside from cheese, green olives, olive oil and lemon are always good choices. I'm not much of a meat person when it comes to pizza. I'm not a vegetarian, but I like my pizza vegetarian.

Regarding crafting, research and base building, I feel like those things are often left as an afterthought in Bethesda games. It's a shame, because I love crafting and research in games. Base building is enjoyable too.

  4. You can get loads of cash and levels by building an outpost. And the best plant is on a planet with a Plante ae that starts with a B and has the number 3. For the life of me I can't remember the planets name lol. I do remember it's close the the syst that new Atlantis is in.

  5. You don't have to use crafting or base building. But you also don't need to use stealth, persuasion, melee weapons, ship building, or really any part of the game. It's all there as an option, rather than you being forced to use it. And I think I get what you're saying – it would be nice if those systems were better integrated into missions and stuff, but I think most people would hate it if the game forced them to craft and they didn't want to.

Like many Bethesda games, crafting can make your character much stronger. You can add a lot of damage to weapons, put binary triggers on stuff, give them silencers, and whatnot. Same idea with suits, helmets, and packs.

Outposts can be a great way to get the resources and components you need for crafting. There are some techniques you can use to farm a ton of experience and money, plus you can use them to complete supply quests.

As for pizza though – I go straight up pepperoni. Although sometimes I've gotta have Hawaiian :o)
