In our quest for seeking out a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle, we made a plan that includes zero waste living, tiny home living and full-time travel. We considered buying an RV, looked at trailers and airstreams but settled on doing a bus conversion for our off-the-grid, tiny house on wheels. We bought a 1996 MCI 102 D3 coach bus and with the Bus Demolition and Interior Shell complete, we turned it into our Tiny Home on Wheels and are now traveling!

  1. That is the difference between a free conservative state and liberal communist state we live in the Wyoming blackhills since 2014 transplants from northern Minnesota , we love it here 4 seasons easy winters.

  2. What is the benefit of becoming residents there as opposed to the state that you have been living in for the past few years, aside from the fact that they do not have state income tax?

  3. Is that legal? Ha ha. So glad it was a great experience and easy at the DMV for you both. Welcome to south Dakato, so happy for you both to have a home base to call "home". Cannot wait for the next adventure…..love this video and the mammoths along with the bison.

  4. How do RV registration costs vary from state to state? Unlike the US, it feels in many ways that we are the Divided States of Australia. Here in Queensland, we pay US$1100 a year for registration for a 3 axle 40-footer. That includes your third-party insurance (I think you call it bodily and property liability insurance in the US) which is mandatory here. In Victoria though you can register a similar 25-year-old bus RV for about $200 a year, and in NSW a pensioner can get free registration on their second vehicle (RV, boat trailer etc.). We're really enjoying your videos. Take care.

  5. Good to know they are still so cool about everything. They were pretty cool about everything back in the 80's and early 90's also. One of the nice things now is that you can fill in all us old retired drifters, that have said screw this crap again, lol. Half of what I knew is either changed, or simply gone. Keep the info coming. A lot of us I am sure are using it, or soon will be in order to return home. Thank you folks.

  6. Congratulations on being South Dakota residents. I grew up and lived in SD for 21 years and went to the Black Hills many times, but never made it to Hot Springs…LOL! Thanks for showing a bit of the town!
