thanks for the video, brillant sketches, like the development, keep the diesel shed but think about a roundhouse for the steam locos connected via the turntable, can't wait to see the branchline station,
I love the idea of the liftout board being its own little interchangeable diorama.
On the other hand, if you commit on a four track design for it you could gain some extra length in the fiddle yard by not having the tracks converge back together, instead you would only need to branch out from four instead of two
Awesome Skills and Aspirations- My Approach to this Hobby will Never be at this Level and will be Vicariously looking forward to seeing your progress ππ»ππ»
Itβs great to see someone tackling the challenges of being young and having to work around your career and university etc. Not having a space accessible daily is a constant struggle for me too at the moment and Iβve always wanted to do something like this, where you build it piece by piece, but had never seen it done properly. Really inspiring, giving me so many ideas!
The idea of the standalone branch that you could take to an exhibition would be fun; I'd recommend it.Look forward to seeing progress, I enjoy seeing the high standard of scenic modelling you do.
Lots of ambitious plans, which is great. I would stick with the Bachmann engine shed: if for no other reason, you have plenty of other scratch building proposals and changing the engine shed could wait. Best wishes for the festive season.

Good to see an update David, I'll watch in full later. Enjoy your Christmas π
Is 'authentic' an acceptable alternative to 'prototypical'?

Another example of a station like that could be Newbury. I think the diesel shed is fine but its up to you.

Love the level of planning, very much a man after my own heart π
Always excited to see more progress from you, it's such an inspiration
