  1. A's are here. Great Video. When the A's come here they Will have new Merchandise up the ying yang. You don't have to imagine Pete from The Mets or Trout from the Angels or Julio from the Mariners. We get to see them in Vegas plus LAS VEGAS A's. Great Video.. thank you. It will be a Event for every game like the Knights.

  2. Several mistakes. 1) Its not "if and when" Fountainbleau is opening. Its opening 4th qtr this year. Nearly 4000 people work on it every day. 2) a baseball stadium will be domed so "the view" of the Strip isn't important. T mobile has no view. Does anyone care? NO. 3) the land by the airport was ruled out long ago. 4) The Musk Vegas Loop is happening and will be a fantastic way for tourists to get round. Its underground Uber and actually gives money back to the city and county instead of looking for taxpayer funds. Less than 20% cost of building new roads because it uses less labor and no land right issues. 5) the monorail will never be expanded. Its too old and too slow for any increase in ridership. Its main purpose it to get people to Conventions which is why LVCVA bought it. But the Loop is the future.

  3. Having the primary entrance from the outfield reminds me a bit of Nationals Park in Washington. Of course, most Nats fans go to the park via Metrorail, as the station is half a block from that entrance.

  4. I like the Las Vegas Festival Grounds location because it is near the highway and can boost the north end of The Strip. The monorail system already goes to the back of Sahara and The Vegas Loop have stations at Resorts World and could add one to the stadium. That area needs development and a stadium could completely transform it from the state it is currently in. I think Bonanza Gift Shop would be in danger of being priced out with a stadium coming there however. The community in that area could see growth and a cleanup effort: Naked City, Gateway District, Allure, Sky Tower, Wedding Row, Turnberry Place, Beverly Green, The BLVD Apartments, Circus Circus, Ahern, and Hilton Grand Vacations. Rio site is good for the views but I don’t like it being on Flamingo road and boarding Chinatown because although it’s close to the highway it would be jammed up with all the small capacity roads by it. Las Vegas Festival Grounds as Las Vegas Blvd, Sahara Ave, Sammy Davis Jr/Industrial Rd, and DI has a connection to Sammy Davis Jr south of the site.

  5. Not sure if you'll reply to my comment, but whatever happened to the empty site located at the southern end of the Las Vegas strip, the A's were proposing to build a new ballpark there? It's right across from the Las Vegas Premium Outlets (South).

  6. Yeah, Cool Video Man… The A's Going to Vegas is Going to be A-Mazing! The Oak Vegas A's will become Americas Team as is the Cowboys in Football. I really like the Tropicana Idea near the MGM, EAsy Access to Airport, and in the Shadow of the Luxor… has the Mono Rail and bus right there to take everyone to thier Hotels… It Has To Be an Open Air Stadium… No F*cking Domes!!! Baseball needs to be Outside and Yes with a Strip View Skyline View

  7. Great info. I like the fairgrounds location and it should be built like Petco park. Need room for RV and tailgaters. Been Raiders and A's fan since late 60 s. Looking forward to seeing both my teams together again. Death Star is perfect for Raiders and I'm sure the green and gold will be equally represented.

  8. I feel that the Rio location would be the best for locals as it's closer to residential areas and off the strip which is great if you want to grow a local fan base and give a home field enviroment compared to the Tropicana or even the fairground locations as they would attract tourist from visiting teams and give it an away feel. Then again T-Mobile is right in the heart of the strip and they get terrific local support and an intimidating home ice advantage.

I do agree with you on Allegiant Stadium having poor access for pedestrians but it's only occupied for 8 days out of the year for games (maybe a few extra for playoffs/Superbowls and other sporting events/concerts) and can get away with it. A ballpark, which will be occupied for 81 times at least through the year will need better pedestrian access and a proper mix of good accesibility for locals and out of town visitors.

Not a LV local but those are my thoughts.

  9. I am curious as you have a youth center in every rendering. Is it a condition that they have to have one for the build? Seems like a lot of area that could be used for other things. Not down on youth centers, but curious about whether it is a mandate for a stadium build.

  10. Let me offer a different perspective. The heart of any baseball stadium is its season ticket base. Unlike football, baseball games are daily occurrences, not major events (unless its playoffs, of course). Look at the situation in Atlanta. They built a stadium for the Olympics in 1996 and turned it into Turner Field. Fine. It was a major upgrade to the 1960s Fulton County Stadium. 20 years later, they realized that their fanbase was no longer in the city, but in the suburbs north of Atlanta in Cobb County. Hence, we get Sun Trust (Truist) Field. Braves fans no longer need to travel through Atlanta traffic to get their nightly game. The Las Vegas Athletics will face a similar challenge if they put the stadium at Tropicana or the West Flamingo site. The team needs a fanbase, not tourists. For that reason, I believe a 38,000-seat stadium with a retractable roof can be built in Summerlin or Henderson. Summerlin would have the advantage because of newer infrastructure, existing baseball culture, elevation (a degree or two cooler – makes a difference, just ask anyone who ever played for the Texas Rangers), beautiful Vegas Strip view, and the sunset will not blind batters. Just some thoughts. Thanks for your research! I hope we have a Subway Series this year!
