Larry takes center stage as he entertains you with his firsthand experiences, from the momentous day he unexpectedly crossed paths with the iconic George Steinbrenner to an array of other unbelievable encounters that would leave anyone astounded.

In the first part of the podcast, Larry takes you back to the swinging ’80s, where he made an audacious deal with the sensational Kenny Martell Concept band. It’s a story of showbiz glamour, music magic, and a surprise appearance by none other than John Gotti himself. You won’t believe your ears!

The Against All Odds podcast is a true story of one man’s ride through the tainted world of horse racing – a world riddled with greed, corruption, celebrities, drugs, sex and the Mob.

Larry Rolla was a talented, respected trainer who invented new ways to fix aging and injured racehorses. Despite his success, his demons and his association with the Mob both helped and destroyed his life. He was involved with every phase of Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing, seen it all and done it all, learned how to duck and dive and live through it all. He is a unique man whose past most would not survive. More importantly, he was an extremely compassionate guy who took people with damaged lives and helped them as well, if he could. He liked fixing things that needed fixing.

  3. Just finished watching this video. I can't put into words the enjoyment I get from your videos. I was at Yonkers/ Roosevelt from about 1975 thru 1984. For those years, I blew my allowance ( 16 in 1975), and then my salary every Friday night. Very rarely did I go on Saturday night because I was broke. Still, I look at those as fabulous times. In occasion, I bet a horse but don't gamble the way I used to
Larry, I absolutely love your videos and I think bringing on guests will make your show more entertaining. They can expand on your stories which will be fun to watch. If I could change one thing, I wish your videos were longer but I'll take whatever I can get. Your videos will be longer with guests.
Keep up the good work! Thank you for putting a smile on my face with your videos.
