On October 5, Kyiv Symphony Orchestra performed in a fully packed Philharmonie de Paris. Before that, vocalists from Kyiv National Academic Operetta sang few songs in the hall.
“Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, by coming here, you’ve joined a community of thousands of people united in their goal of preventing the loss of music. We are grateful to you for this,” said Olivier Mantei, director of Philharmonie de Paris, while opening the concert. He dedicated this evening to all women and men who are fighting for freedom in Ukraine.
Among the guests were France’s Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak, U.S. Ambassador to the French Republic and to the Principality of Monaco Denise Campbell Bauer, and other high-ranking officials who showed their support and were impressed by the beauty of Ukrainian music.
