You need to buy the skill from the witch to unlock the extra skills for all special heroes permanently the building on the right doesn't do that, it just helps you involve heroes of the same type 😅
You CAN rechoose bonus starting resources.
Actually you have to click right button on chosed resource to clear it.

wheat farming is great for sacrifice, as you can just buy a priest, level him, sacrifice him, then do it again 🙂
Witch unlocks for you permanent upgrades.
And you can "wet" your enemies with the monk attack, when you would finish his quest.

They can’t fish unless there is a fishing spot available. They’re the little white circles that sometimes appear in the water. It only happens a couple times a day.
The port is actually decent WITH the hunter because of how the seating and eating in the tavern works. Dead units enter first, then living units enter the tavern in random order. Units always prioritize the highest value food, so they will always choose meat over berries. If a unit’s favorite meat is not available, they will choose a random meat, even if they end up stealing the next unit’s favorite meat. BUT, if you have fish AND meat, they will choose fish if their’s fave meat isn’t there, which saves the better meat for the other units.
If you upgrade a dead unit, it will resurrect it. So, if you’re dealing with a tough wave, it could be good to save the materials for an upgrade until after a unit goes down, or just before the end of the day, so they can still gain xp in the tavern. Just be warned that if there are enemies near them when they’re resurrected, they might just die again immediately.
