  1. Not gonna lie, that popup linking to the playlist during the final cutscene is obnoxious as H…. Same in the previous video. Regarding the game, im hyped!

  2. I wanna see if you can capture enemy ships with the resource craft… I think you could in the second homeworld. Good way to augment your fleet early on with enemy ships. And I think as well that larger ships can be captured by more resource ships.

  3. I'm enjoying HW 3! Though one lesson has been reinforced yet again for me:

    Never try to revisit a popular franchise with a middle-aged white male fan base.

    I kinda feel sorry for the Eagles, having to perform Hotel California for 50 years. A huge chunk of their fanbase doesn't care about new albums, exploring new creative avenues.

    Same thing for HW 3. I made the mistake of finding a few other discussions and reviews of it, and dang. How very dare HW have PEOPLE in its cutscenes? I know Vulcan alluded to this last video with the, ahem, change in storytelling direction for HW 3. I don't think that's the real problem though.

    (Social and marketing studies have found that people relate better to a topic, product, activity, etc when they see or interact with another person. Even something like wearing sunglasses in an interview can make a person less relatable b/c the audience can't see the speaker's eyes.)

    I've seen complaints about how WOKE HW 3 is, how the missions are cluttered with Star Wars trash, and ultimately how NOT HOMEWORLD 1 it is.

    I'm just gonna go back to enjoying HW 3, like I should have stuck to in the first place.

  4. Homeworld has the issue of forcing minor cutscenes during ongoing combat sometimes so I lose craft because I can't micro. Not sure if that is still true but kinda looks like it does in 3 as well.

  5. Pity there's no salvage mechanic anymore. It was really cool in HW1's first mission to steal 1-2 assault frigs and get your fleet upped this way. Or steal ion beam frigs somewhere before Kadesh.

    Another cool feature missing from HW2 is that smaller crafts were produced in squads. Could've been cool to extend this to enlarging squads' normal size yet operate them as single unit.

  6. I subscribed because of your HW1 and HW2 campaigns. This campaign is giving me that delightful feeling of nostalgia and I'm here for it. Also really love the Warno videos! ❤️
