  1. And in the NFL you are coaching men not boys. I think that has a lot to do with it as well I mean on top of the fact that it's a different game. Where you face the best of the best at every position every week. Opposed to facing really good high school players with a couple of NFL guys in the mix

  2. I think a reason alot of college coaches don't succeed in the NFL is bc most of those college coaches when they come to the league end up usually at one of the 5 worst teams in the league to begin with and at the NFL level, when you start out with a team that only has a couple good players your just not going to win. Then you have these teams who will hire a new coach every single year that does things completely different from other coaches and then players have to make adjustments to the coach witch can also cause problems especially when the team sucks to begin with. there just isn't any stability with these bad teams and it usually take a long time for them to finally get a good enough team to have a good season but usually after that good season they go back to the same old same old and lose a few games and then the coach gets fired. It's kind of a stupid process if you think about it.

  3. Carolina fires Rivera, arguably the most successful coach in franchise history, sign Bridgewater to a three year contract, still paying him, pick up darnold, still paying him, pick up Baker, now Ruhle is out and we still have to pay him. Our salary is capped with people no longer here.

  4. Pat please don’t curse my huskers for a third time in a row with that hire. Let’s just keep the positivity over the last few weeks and go with what we got next year. I’m tired of so called high end hires for the program. This current coaching staff, after three games, is already the best of coach for almost a decade. Mickey Joseph for the win. Go Big Red.

  5. Idk why people say Pete Carroll "didn't work in the NFL before"

    Did he really not?

His record prior to Seattle was 2 games over in 4 years….including 2 playoff appearances and one playoff win.

    Hardly a joke
Obv not the level of coach he is today….but idk not bad imo

  6. Y did they even give him a 7 year deal in the first place? smh. At most what should've been given was a 4 year contract. That's plenty of time to see whether or not they're capable in successfully rebuilding a team

  7. I definitely wouldn't consider Pete Carroll a college coach. He spent most of his career in the NFL as a position coach, DC, and HC. He went to USC for about 8 years which is what he's most known for. But that's a tiny part of his long resume. Most of his experience is in the NFL.

  8. People always talk around what it is at its core but never address it. Nfl coaches need some humility. They are dealing with people that are professionals that may not have as much experience as you but football is their life too and you need to speak to them with respect and lean on their knowledge as well. So many coaches from college come in and talk to pros like kids and look silly for it cause aj hawk year 5 and 6 wouldn't need a coach riding his ass about the minute details
