High-school student Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), always a bit of a misfit, doesn’t expect life to change much when she moves from sunny Arizona to rainy Washington state. Then she meets Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a handsome but mysterious teen whose eyes seem to peer directly into her soul. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but, here’s a little fun fact about Robert Pattinson. He wrote and sang 2 songs for the movie, he’s honestly imo a great musician. Such a melodic voice.
Oh and yes, the age thing is usually brought up. Honestly I never cared lol he’s a vampire, so unless he’s dating another vampire that was made at the same time as him, most ppl are going to be younger. If the person he wants to be with doesn’t care, then why would I 🤷🏻♀️ plus it’s fiction 😂
What fun it was to watch it with you! Never been a fan of Twilight, only went to the cinema to the last part of the movie. But I admit that a couple of years ago I wanted to watch all the parts in order to understand why so many people love this film. It was interesting 😁

I played this as entertainment at a senior bldg. The seniors loved it and saw it as a modern Romeo & Juliet.
I had so much fun with this reaction, the oak laughing all the time in the non sense scenes made me laugh so much like i havent even when i watched it for the first time. I remember a friend of mine was a fan of this series so I went with her to the theater to see the second movie, I only found it boring but a bit entertaining, now it is so much more funny it aged well but like a comedy movie 😂
Can’t wait for the reactions of the rest of the Twilight series. As a teenager when this movie came out. We were all obsessed. When I went to watched Twilight. There was a little earthquake and all girls stayed in the theater to continue to watch it lol

I loved these movies when they came out and I read all the books. As a tanager this love story felt epic When I re-watched them as an adult, I still like the mood and home some scenes were filmed but the relationships are so, so.. toxic! 😅 I went from Team Jacob to Team Charlie 💖

I dislike the idea that only girls liked this series. I was once one of those guys that refused to watch it but there was a marathon on tv one day and it was oddly fun. It’s cringy but at the end of the day, I had a lot of fun. So I say that you should go into it with the motive of just having fun
Oh my god watching you guys react to it was like when I saw it with my best friend and his then girlfriend (now wife), and me and him were ragging so hard on the movies… Lmao good times. Good times. Anyway, two things. Yes, you should absolutely watch each of the Pitch Meetings for these movies! You should also watch each of the Honest Trailers for these movies, because they comment on the sheer number of stares these people give each other… It's freaking hysterical!
Keep up the good work, and if you haven't already watched it, maybe you guys can react to Netflix the sandman. 10 main episodes plus one bonus 11th episode it is insanely well crafted. Just something to think about.

I gotta say seeing your reaction made me realize how WEIRD the whole beginning is if you don't already know Bella's scent is super potent and he's close to killing her AND she's the only mind he can't read. I read the book before the movie came out so I always had that context so I was soley judging on adaption, I never thought about how that must be really confusing

This movie series is great if you view it like you eat junk food. Don't take it too seriously.
Here is my take: there is a great story in here. Jacob's tribe and the Cullen History. Even the love story can work. It just gets too silly at times… baseball, prom etc…

To be fair with the first Twiligh. First… the budget was less than 40 million so the director tried her best with very little money. Second… we all see the red flags even in the books but it's fantasy guys. (btw the budget grows but prepare for the last movie and a very particular effect… you will know when you see it)

I love these movies but what i love even more is the cast commentary that came in the dvd Robert pattinson and Kristen Stewart making fun of it its hilarious also the soundtrack to all of these movies is top tier

I am one of the biggest Twilight fans EVER— they’re bad books and bad movies! The first movie of the saga was a low budget indie movie, it was never meant to become the cultural phenomenon that it was. Like a lot of series, the quality gets immensely better. The performances do not though haha. It’s a badly written story, and most of the characters are written to be weird/awkward. Twilight is 100% has a target audience. To me, it’s like reality TV, it’s not good but it’s entertaining and comforting. I was also a preteen when the movies were finishing, so it has a lot of nostalgia for me

I read the books and watched all the movies in theater back when they first came out, and I flipped back and forth between being team Edward and team Jacob. I think the last movie is the best of all these movies, and as an adult I can really watch these and have fun, and laugh at what it was like being a teenager. I think that's why I enjoy them as much as I do. It's a totally toxic relationship and I know that too lol
I had so much fun! I can't wait to see you react to the other movies, they get so much better (plot/ character development/ world building/ production value) I look forward to y'all going through the Twilight journey! The first movie was prob the most cringey lol. Love y'all!
Here's why I liked Twilight back in the day and still do because I love watching romcoms and they are generally pretty one dimensional, this was something so refreshing back when I was in school, more intense and kind of darker take on an high school romance. Ofcourse you don't need to take it too seriously, it's in no way supposed to be serious "cinema". I mean if we can appreciate legally blonde and pretty woman with pretty straight forward storylines, then I have no problem admitting I appreciate this as a darker high school romance as well.

Re: The charm- yes, vampires in the Twilight universe are ridiculously attractive to humans to lure them in, everything from their looks to their scent to their voices is appealing, that's why everybody is thirsting for them. Naturally you can't really portray that as well in a movie. But it DOES work on Bella too, that's why she looks kinda dumbfounded and crazed half the time she stares at Edward, in the books she keeps describing how attrative he is lol
