  1. The old 187 chassis… if you haven't already, resolder the two heatsink ground tabs (LV reg and horiz out). A cracked ground will cause the eeprom to corrupt or dump. The tuner-on-board also has ground issues. I did a thousand of those back when they were new. Good performers once the soldering was taken care of.

  2. Blast from the past; only rich people could afford the 32 inch; most of us had 25" TVs by then, and those on a strict budget had to settle for 23" which was considered a big screen in the 1960s.

  3. I give my elderly mother a RCA 26 inch TV. It was less than a year old. She clocked a lot of hours on it since my dad died she was scared to death too be alone. She usually had it on all night so I thought it was strange she had it turned off. I was going to ask her what she wanted for Breakfast and after I looked a while as she laid in bed I noticed her stomach wasn't going up and down she wasn't breathing she was dead. Let's just say I had the king of panic attacks.
