A community is still in shock after five people were shot near the Safeway along Rainier Avenue South Friday night.
KOMO News learned two of the five victims are part of the Boys and Girls Clubs of King County. Seattle police said the shooting happened while people gathered for a community outreach event.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of King County said their Safe Passage Team have been gathering with the community every Friday to provide free meals and a safe space for people. In a press release, they said they’d been hosting it for the past three years and add nothing like this has ever happened.

Only in King County does an innocent person sitting in the privacy of their own home think "we were just sitting there and heard gunshots". For a while Dow was paying the Sheriffs to claim they were fireworks, but when they had to ask the public for information the next day they had to stop doing that. Dow covers for these guys every day. Until the feds step in and charge our executive with aiding and abetting he will continue to support this type of activity.

You're letting a bunch of gang members party in a parking lot in the middle of the night outside of a liquor store in a Safeway parking lot that has consistently had people get shot and killed in it that's not a community outreach event that was just letting gang members hang out because you closed down the boat ramps at Sewage Park .
People have been getting shot and killed in this parking lot and that liquor store is the magnet they just replaced the window from the guy who got shot and killed last month.
That organization is an idiot for having the event in that parking lot when you have a community center and could have done this during the day in a safer location but choose not to

A firearm in the right hands would have probably been able to send the shooters away fast. The citizens are so afraid of things mechanical — their use can be seriously protective, because in gun free zones, only criminals get guns. They know this fact.
