  1. I had to just stop paying attention to all of the players bitching and whining. It got infuriating and I started to view them all as rich entitled sociopaths. I'd rather not do that, I'd rather just view them as football players and that's it. But yes, there needs to be some new rules. You sign a contract you fulfill the contract or you sit out and forfeit whatever you would have been paid for that time you sat out. You have the option to not play but you will get exactly $0 for doing so. Also there needs to be a system for trade requests. If the player had to go in and talk to the GM face to face and fully explain the reasoning they no longer want to be on the team we could avoid a lot of the BS. Both sides would at least know what the other is thinking. None of this social media nonsense what are you 10 years old with the brain of a chipmunk? Sorry I got fired up, you said hot takes and Jud touched a nerve with that one 😂

  2. Fans feelings aside, i just hope that with him being a young kid and having had worked so hard to get to this point. I hope he has the support from friends, family, and the Vikings Organization to make sure he doesn't feel like his life is collapsing around him. Imagine working your butt off feeling like you are so close to your dream only to have it snatched away from you. I hope Harbough is also there for him as well because the kids going to need it.

  3. Sad for JJ that he injured his meniscus, glad it’s only a meniscus, happy that we can finally “should JJ start week 1” by all media BS to bed cause that got annoying real fast. KOC has said he has a plan for JJ and this doesn’t change one thing. Sam is your starter this year, it’s JJ team next year

  4. JJ's injury is in no way devastating to him and by extension, the Vikings. I suspect there is a contingent of Viking fans who want to see JJ out there ASAP and are disappointed, and then there is the other Viking fans (myself included) that wanted JJ to get as much practice and game prep as possible so that when KOC pulls the lever and inserts him the head coach has full confidence he's ready. That lever may not have been pulled until Game 1 of 2025, but it could have been earlier and now that decision has probably been taken away from the HC.

  5. IF the Vikings sign Gilmore I think their CB room will be fine. Gilmore, Griffin, Murphy, Moreau, Wright/Ward and a UDFA in McGlothern who shows some promise. That's not bad. Think of that CB room in 2020 and 2021. Bad starters, no depth, and zero up and coming players at the position. If they can't land Gilmore….it does look a lot worse. I'd still take a Gilmore-less CB room over what the Vikings were putting out there late in Zim's tenure.

  6. Look, this ain’t the end of the world. But we’re talking about how much he improves almost each practice, and now he’s gonna miss 4, including the joint practices, 2 more preseason games and KOC said shortly after the game he’d be getting more 1st team reps. This is a pretty big ding to his development. Is it career stunting? Of course not. But all it does is push a good deal of it back into 2025 because all these experiences won’t be had
