Quite an adventure, but not very realistic. Who goes journeying with only one little back pack each, no food, no tent, no sleeping bag ? Then at the end comes out just as clean, and in the same clothes as the day they left. The original was the best journey ever, and still has my heart !

This is certainly not "Journey to the Centre of the earth" in the sense that it follow the Jules Verne story.
Usually those US TV movies are well done technically and actors do a good job, but the story is a string of stereotypes. Yes, that's it again.
This is light entertainment, stretched out to a full length feature when there is story for 20 minutes. Unsatisfactory end, they don't even go underground. But the actor's hair and makeup is perfect all the way.
Thumbs down from me, but if you are bored stiff, there are worse movies on Youtube.
