  1. I think it’s very clear the change with counting only individual Bible studies the focus is on increasing membership the none reporting of literature will mean less placement of free material which will save them a substantial amount of financial resources i think this is actually a brilliant business move it would be interesting what business consultant they used to come up with this approach

  2. People also deny the fact that Watchtower has a monthly donation & they constantly challenge the fact that Elders approached active family heads privately to discuss how much they could "comfortably give" each month, starting in 2015, right after they canceled the loans on KHs, but still required congregations to send in the same amounts. To me, this is the dumbest pretend argument for any PIMI because WHERE DO YOU THINK THEY'RE GETTING AT LEAST THE SAME AMOUNT PER MONTH TO SEND INTO HQ THEN, dummy!!?? 😂😂😂 They will blatantly LIE. We KNOW this.

  3. I have been out on an unscriptural disfellowshipping for a year and a half; looking back into the organization and seeing this announcement of NOT REPORTING YOUR TIME is shocking to me! I spent 55 years in the "org" and it took several hours to digest this act of stupidity. After brewing on it overnight, I'm thinking this morning; that, well, you might as well tell the friends that preaching the good news of the Kingdom is no longer a requirement! Because if you don't have to report your time, then you're not going to be as diligent in the public preaching work now are you??!! Why bust your butt to impress the elders or circuit overseer, when now, your share in the ministry is suddenly meaningless?? This to me, borders on defiance of scriptural commands from Christ.
On the other hand, I always felt that making too much of a deal about one's field service report would be setting yourself up as a judge of that one. How do you know that that person didn't give his/her best effort? Who am I to judge if you're serving God with your whole soul, whole mind, and whole heart? (Matt. 22: 39) So I see this new policy as another disastrous rule made up by Pharisee like men; and yet at the same time; causing the numbers of active members in the congregations to decline even further in the coming year!

  4. On what basis are they going to appoint ministerial servants and elders? Their speaking ability? Their looks? Their dress? Their friendships with elders? "Time will tell." No pun intended!😅

  5. Door-to-door work is practically pointless in the NE US. No one there really believes in religion or the bible. It’s just a social club if anyone goes to church at all. It’s a huge waste of time. Only people it works on is the very lonely (typically old people). It’s sad really.

Knocking on doors was misery. I’ll never forget getting laughed at by the neighbor girl (on whom I had a crush) when I got stuck going to her door. 😖

  6. I was advised by several (actually spirituual) elders to not say how many studies i had,nr rv's…WHY?a/ao I wasn't being micromanaged and so I could use the Bible itself, rather than use the "literature".they prefered the Bibles and whatever was useful rather than indocrinat stuff. good on them. i was a loner and unwanted. Thats ok. i met some beautiful people.Ithank Father and Yeshua/Jesus. Love to all

  7. Even when I was in, the younger ones never heard of pyramid/Russell , Création drama, etc etc , surprisingly all were 2-3 generation jws. I and many others are still alive and remember the Stay Alive 'til '75 . The many public talks emphasing 1975 , it was even in the then kingdom ministry studies…

  8. One other thing that I think might be a reason for this change is all of the CSA lawsuits. If you think about it in the lawsuits, they mention about children going out one on one with people who weren’t their family. These children also had to be out in service, so that was like the one thing where they were commanded to do some thing by the governing body, where children might be alone with strangers, or people who can hurt them. As I say, always follow the money.

  9. I’m glad you guys came out of that cult, I’m not sure where you are with your faith, but need to get you all in touch with the true Jesus Christ, remember just because someone gives you a fake 20 dollar bill doesn’t mean that all 20’s are fake. The real Jesus is waiting for you to call out to him

  10. Now being a pioneer will be more “coveted “ and a show of true spiritually among JW’s
Pluuuus more info will be given so I don’t think they’ll let go of the power so easily… “new forms of control will follow” 😊

  11. Soon there will be videos of grateful publishers saying how loving a provision it was to change the reporting procedure. Surely commenting on how it made them want to spend more time in the ministry. 🙄🙄😵‍💫😵‍💫

  12. I think in the end, the Watchtower will just become another nominal Christian Church. They'll still hold onto their core beliefs, but it'll just be another church open on Sundays for a Sermon. They'll be fine as longbasbthe donations continue to come in.

The never ending discipline, correction, brow beating, judging….. I hated being around them in the field service so bad that I've been isolating myself for 10 years and LOVE my comfort zone right there.

  14. My husband and I dissociated in June of this year. I'm floored to see the desperation at this point to keep their numbers from plumeting. I imagine if we were still in, we would have rolled our eyes so hard at that. Everything was already so trivial and this just proves it. Time means nothing now, and the brothers still can't have a beard if they want to be seen as spiritual because… reasons. Oh but you should be willing to die for them if you need a blood transfusion because they are clearly never wrong about anything. 🙄

  15. For decades, how much time you went in service was a way everyone was judged by the elders—and a way that everyone judged each other. Looking to date someone? Better stay away from anyone who isn’t reporting a lot of time. Want to make friends with other JW kids? Better not associate with anyone who isn’t putting in enough hours and is spiritually weak.
