  1. Comparing Lamar to Jalen is the most disrespectful take that is acceptable to make.
MVP is who has the best stats, SUPER BOWL is who is the best players/team. I Promise you Peyton would trade every single one of his MVPS for another super bowl trophy.
Jalen is a Top 5 guy right now (top 4 imo) Lamar is arguably not top 15 (I don't see him in the top 10).
It's insane to me to compare them.
I'm not an Eggles fan, and I loath Alabama, but put some freaking respect on Hurts name. Stop lumping him in with all the b listers just because physically they look appear similar.

  2. Yea I have zero sympathy for Lamar on this. Dude got offered an obscene amount of money, very much like Jalen, and he declined the shit and demanded more…there isn't a player in the league thats worth even 200 million (unless that 200 mil contract is for 20 years), let alone 250. Everything about Lamars game SCREAMS Red Flag because he's almost certain to miss large chunks of each season with injury because of his playstyle. Mobile QBs are awesome, but everytime they leave the pocket they are multiplying the likelihood of them getting badly injured, and the most important aspect to any star player is their availability…if you're constantly putting yourself in situations where you're much more likely to get injured teams are going to balk…particularly when your salary demand is that high. Watson got paid because he had established himself as an MVP caliber QB despite a shitty offense and mostly because the Browns were seriously desperate for an actual QB capable of doing basically anything productive on the field. There isn't a team in the league in that situation right now. None of them are THAT desperate for a QB, especially considering the talent about to enter the NFL soon and the chances of them hitting on their franchise QB for pennies comparatively. While it's fully possible for Lamar to go the full length of his contract without ever once getting injured badly enough to miss significant time, it's highly unlikely and everyone knows it. He should have just signed that first contract, or kept the bare bones the same and asked for a bit more guaranteed money or something, but he seems to want to be the HIGHEST paid QB…like his only goal is to make more than Watson and now Hurts as if that has some power to make him the best QB in the league when he's clearly not. No one is taking that throne away from Mahomes unless he falls off a cliff.
