  1. Bit of carry on here re. would have liked more pacers for longer, hard to see wavelights in the day time etc. It's a great run but damn it makes me respect WRs like Rudisha's 800. No bullshit, just did it on his own.

  2. I think he just threw both Eric Z. & Nuguse under the bus…or maybe it was just the competitive spirit. Would Jakob agree that "It's easy when someone else is doing all the work" when he was following pace-setters or coming in 2nd? C'mon Jakob!

  3. I’d hate to have to run a mile in the middle of the day in the heat and with that wind. Amazing to get so close to the world record without optimum conditions. Not making excuses for him… I just want to see him do his best. Obviously capable of world record after that performance. Hope he gets another chance. Why can’t diamond league think about this and put the final in a location with good conditions and put the premier event in the cool of the evening?

  4. Jakob covered 1613meters during the race. Average speed was 25.5 km/h which is 7.0833 m/s. At this speed rate 4m = 0.564 sec, so theoretical 1609 meters would have been 3:43,16. No doubt this WR will fall. Congrats, try to take the inside spot at the lineups.
