  1. For the abilities in-combat, you can preview their up-coming abilities by having your pointer over them. You'll be able to view what's coming and plan your actions base on that.

  2. To add on, the veterancy of a character is based on how many runs it has survived, personally I've had some 4 souls veterans, but it's not really worth growing their veterancy to gain more souls, you're better off hiring or breeding another team, complete a run, kick them off the colony which gives you 1 soul, kicking always gives you 1 soul, death and retire gives you based on veterancy of said character.

  3. I really enjoy this type of video too! So don't apolegize 😛
In certain type of games a bit more grinding isn't a problem for me but only if you don't get forced to do it. Like you want to level because you want to buid something and not because you have to, to progress (without having a hard time).
BTW do you know the game "Dome Keeper" or have thoughts on it?
Lookng forward to your streams 😀

  4. So get this, I farmed hours and hours trying to gather resources. The game crashed and when I reloaded my larder was empty. I'm glad I'm not crazy in thinking this game is a bit of an undercooked mess. It has a lot of amazing ideas that need a little more thought put into them and a little more refinement. I really hope this game gets the attention it deserves from the devs and they make it live up to its potential because it could turn into my favorite game ever.

  5. The RNG of the available skills seems fine to me. The player would be way too strong IMO if you managed to roll the perfect combo every time. As for the planning part. If you hover your mouse over the goblins you will see the skills they rolled for their next turn.

My playthrough is vastly different from your background video. I ended up using 3 guards and 3 shamans I am only in the 3rd chapter right now so it may change later. I hated the raiders' skills always being dependent on crits or the enemies already having a debuf. They also have no scaling power. So I just stopped using them. I just go full AoE with tanking and heals, some fights might take longer but other fights end without the enemies getting a turn, I am fine with the RNG because the skills cover each others weaknesses. Your team and skills are quite customizable so try other things out.

As for the resource grind that is an absolute 💯. It can take multiple days to get enough resources to get 1 upgrade. If you just play through the story and don't do any resource runs I am 100% sure your buildings will never get close to the maximum upgrade level or amount allowed.

  6. 37:50 You and I are of one mind in this regard. Indie companies are the opposite of AAA companies in that they lack the budget or experience of AAA, but have creativity and heart, something most AAA companies lack these days. I'll keep an eye on this; I played Lichdom: Battlemage and loved it. Would have finished it too if not for the motion sickness.

I adore this game's whole fairytale children's book art style. Aesthetically it looks wonderful. So I hope it goes through some more gameplay iterations to iron out the kinks and make it a little bit less …tedious sounding, I guess.

  8. À quick note to what our purple reviewer said : the beginning!/tutorial of this game is charming and long. You won't probly see the issues he's talking about before being at least 2h in the game, so it could be difficult to get refund if it is not to your liking. I got lucky and got back my money after three hours, when I understood that I would have to grind to get disposable goblins

  9. I really like content made by people that really care about something and talk about it for a long time.. usually born from those that enjoy it, but wished it was better.
